YOU CAN’T STAND IN THE SAME RIVER TWICE
Because the rivers’ water is constantly moving, it is constantly new at any given point. Stand in the water and watch as it swirls and flows around your legs. You may be standing in the same place but the water that you initially stepped into is gone. It has been replaced with new, different water. You may be the same but the river is not.
I have found that change is inevitable no matter who you are nor what your belief system. As your life is the river in question you either grow with it or you do not. Learning what still works for you and keeping it, as well as what does not and letting it go, so that you have room to grow allows you to keep up with your river.
Growth is better than stagnation. Growth gives you new opportunities, new friends, new experiences and new ways to share with others. Stagnation gives you pain, frustration, illness, and a wasted life.
When you look back at the river of your life what do you want to see in its’ wake? Growth and opportunity taken and applied or regret and remorse? Here’s to every ones river, free flowing, ever changing and ever giving to all you meet.

The other thing to remember is not to get swept away in the river. Allow the waters to feed your self, your spirit, and your soul. Grow with it's flow but not so slow that it errodes you away.
ReplyDeletethank you that is a good point.
