               WHO IS HOLDING YOUR POWER?

A few months ago, a dear friend of mine asked me a question concerning suicide; “What would do if everything you do is wrong? When everything you say is wrong? Why not just end it all, just put an end to everything?”

I told my friend that this is a question that only they could answer. But I ask you to consider; why would you (the collective you) give ANYONE that much power over you, your life, and your mindset? Who are they to hold your personal power in such contempt and why in the name of common sense would you allow it? If you mean so little to yourself, how do you expect anyone else to see your worth?

Maybe the problem is not in "saying the wrong thing". Maybe the real issue is in your need to love yourself and in doing so, take your power back, stop living your life through what you think others think of you and stand in your own power and reclaim the soul that is the true you. And there is the truth of the entire thing.

You, each and every one of you, all of us are SOULS living a human existence. We are here to learn whatever it is that we came here to learn. We CHOSE to come here in order that we learn, accomplish and teach. We did not come here to live our lives by committee or to throw up our hands and lie down and be a victim. We did not come here to see how sick we can make ourselves and our planet. We came here to enlighten ourselves and to share that with those around us. We were created to be happy, healthy, loving and to be the best that we can be.

This week I challenge you to take your power back. To own your happiness, create it, share it, enjoy it and embrace it. See you as the divine creation that you are and stop being a victim in any way, no matter how small. If you have already started on this path, I congratulate you and ask you to see how you can share your information with others. Just as you can’t diminish the flame from a candle by lighting another from it, sharing happiness, love and gratitude does not diminish you, sharing only makes the good feelings grow, Bright Blessings, C.                LIVING IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE

“The conditioned mind is very slick. The mind's job is to protect you and keep you in your comfort zone. That's why many people miss out on opportunity because they have been conditioned to say no.

“Get out of your conditioned mind and expand your potential!” (Barry Tatum)

My friend, Barry Tatum, made this comment the other day and it got me thinking about how deeply we do confine ourselves with this very concept.

We do it in all of our existence; our body, our mind and our spirit, all to our detriment. Just like Barry said, this confinement causes us to miss out on opportunities simply due to subconscious conditioning, most of which happened so long ago that it is outmoded and unworthy of us, but we settle for it because we think we’re supposed to. Anyone who has gone through the Evolution of Self; Journey into Body, Mind, Spirit Balance experience knows that this is a big part of the program, letting go of what no longer serves you. By stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing your ‘new’, your ‘now’, your ‘worthiness’ and investigating your new potential and expanding on it you will discover things you never thought possible.

Comfort is something that all of us strive for but it can be a trap, like the one in the quote above, it keeps us stagnant, not growing. Because we feel that our current circumstance is comfortable because it is what we’re used to, we stay where we are. Now here is the kicker, just because we happen to be in what we feel is a comfort zone, rarely are we truly happy there. The abused spouse, the poor, the hungry, the person who dislikes their job, the person who feels they want to move from where they are. All of these people may feel that they are comfortable (only because they know what expect) but they are most certainly not happy.

The human condition is to reach out and up, to attempt to better ones self and if this forward movement is not happening, there is discontentment, a feeling of failure, loss of control, the feeling of defeat and no way out. The human condition is also sometimes one of blaming others or circumstances in order to make things too hard to get away from. Being a victim is the easy way, the comfortable way. BUT these actions and thoughts are not the way to grow and embrace your potential.

Learning to stand in one’s own power, to own one’s actions and choices, to see solutions rather than problems, and to seek knowledge that will drive one’s dreams is to “get out of your conditioned mind and expand your potential!” this is where you will find true happiness and accomplishment.

Add to all of the above; learn to like yourself and those around you. Laugh; be so grateful and happy with what you already have that others begin to ask you why you are so happy, what your secret is. By that you will know that you are achieving something that you can be proud of and share, you are growing, expanding and actively reaching for your potential. Setting goals for yourself and achieving them reconditions your mind and gives you unlimited room for expanding your potential. I challenge you to evaluate your gifts and reevaluate where you are vs where you truly want to be and create positive, loving and attainable goals for yourself. As you reach one, set the next one and so on. One day you will look around you and be amazed at what you have accomplished for yourself and others.

CHOICE VS DECISION

            

                      CHOICE VS DECISION

What, if anything is the difference between the two? I would say that there is a big one. One indicates a direction and the other one, possibility. One is a turning point, the other is an option. One is the reaching of a conclusion, the other is an action.

Let’s look at the word “decision”; making a decision is the first act in creating a direction, the reaching of a conclusion thereby passing judgment upon an issue. This judgment cuts off other options so by definition it is a possible turning point for you. Decisions are made from a belief system. This system is usually based on what the committee you operate in thinks you should or expects you to do. These decisions may not turn out to be very empowering because they are usually made from an emotional place deep within you that doesn’t have all the facts, so that they will not be very flexible and may, in fact seem at the time, to be completely unchangeable. A decision is often made but not implemented. They are put off to a later time and so turn out to be undirected energy, therefore wasted. Think about all those proclamations made for New Year resolutions, those life changing decisions that never manifest and are lost and forgotten.

Now let’s look at the word “choice”; this word creates the idea of possibilities, it denotes several options, a variety from which to choose, sort of like picking from a menu. The ability to exercise choice allows us to have options, that we can revisit our choice and choose again if we feel the need. Choosing is usually fact based, rather than emotion based. Because of this, you will find that it is best to be crystal clear about what outcome you truly want. The clearer you are about what you expect to achieve, the better your choice will be. (Yes, this part of goal setting)

A choice is actually movement, a path of action; something that can be seen and felt by, not only you but by those around you. Choosing moves energy, creates changes in its field that begin the manifestation of what you want to set into motion.

Because a ‘decision’ is a direction and a ‘choice’ is the action that drives the decision the distance between the two can be enormous and is why some people get things done and some people do not. If you ‘decide’ something but don’t choose an action to drive the decision, you accomplish…nothing. The universe feels no shift in your energy so responds in like energy with an inaction. “That’s what you are happy with? OK then, you shall have that.” The decision that you make on the level of thought is an attempt to make up your mind to begin to create a plan; but, only if you choose to act on it, will you get what you want or get where you want to be.

So how can you make good decisions? First of all, you need to have a plan, a goal, an end product or result you want to create. Then ask yourself if the decision that you are considering is going to move you toward or away from your goal. Then consider whether or not you are committed to investing the energy to choose actions that will make the energy move; shift toward what you feel you want. Will you choose to drive your plan or not? The decision, the choice is yours.

WHY AM I SICK?

            

     WHY AM I SICK?

People ask this question of me a lot. The book “Permanent Healing, by Daniel R. Condron D.M., D.D., M.S. tells us that illness is our physicality’s response to years of wrong thought processes.

Evolution of Self, along with other self-help processes all teach that, “As I think, so I am.” And those of us who have found this to be true want to share with you that our thoughts do, indeed, construct our issues. Just as they construct them, they also deconstruct them. If you have thought yourself ill, you can think yourself well again. Does it happen overnight? No, you didn’t create the illness overnight but you can start the process of correcting your inner dialogue right now!

“How do I do this?” you might ask. You do it just like you eat an elephant, one bite at a time. Change one thought from negative to positive, make it a habit to think that way and move to the next negative thought. Soon you will have turned all of your thoughts, notions, perceptions and ideas to a positive perspective. Now for something a little bit more challenging. Do the same thing with thoughts you have about yourself. Don’t tell me or yourself no, you can do it…if you choose to do it. Remember you need to help yourself before you can be of any help to those around you.

Read what one of my students wrote me after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and I feel you will understand better what I am telling you.

“Okay so my current medical situation, I can trace back to a single moment, two and half years ago. The moment I was honest with myself, truly took a deep breath, and "Let go" of all things out of my control. I took a deep breath and felt my heart pound hard in my chest. I stopped letting petty things repeatedly anger me and made a conscious effort to change my perception into a positive one. No longer suffer the persecution of other’s thoughts, and to free me of my own. At that moment I KNEW my body was going to have to work this out physically and accepted that. From then on, I regularly felt "palpitations" and they were always prominent when I would make efforts to change my thinking and my actions.

Now I realize that old habits die hard, and eventually worry that this was not simply feeling the change I was willing to be, I did see a doctor. Now, after a few visits, it is true that my body is working out the repeated anger, frustration, and negativity I had been breeding for the last several years. Something I had grown out of but returned to. Now that I have again stepped back into wisdom, my body is purging it in a way dramatically fitting the way it was thrust upon it.”

I believe my acceptance of this, is why it is not as severe as it could be, and evidence that not only are thoughts things but they help control the way our body reacts not just emotionally but physically as well.”

We can beat ourselves up for only so long before our body says, “OK, you want it? You’ve got it enjoy!” Then we look around and ask, “why me?” and feel victimized. So, dig in and examine your predominant mind set. Just what ARE you truly telling your biology? Like we learn from “The Secret”, are we asking for what we truly want or are we sabotaging our lives without our conscious awareness? It is never too late to WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION!!!!
