WHERE IS GOD?

WHERE IS GOD?

“God” or the idea of it, as a force, is an extremely interesting concept to a large number of people. They talk about it (the subject/idea) they look for it/Him/ Her, they fight over it, they hold grudges and do any number of asinine things to prove their side is right and any other is wrong, and are easily offended by the fact that others do not hold the same ideas on the subject as they do.

The truth of the matter is that the thing, the concept, the energy that we call God, belongs to….EVERYONE!  the Hindus call Him Rama, the Christians call Him God, the Muslims call Him Allah, the Zoroastrians call Him Zarathustra…there many names for this but truth is He (using the generic “he” here) is one. What color do you think He is? What does that matter? He just Is. All countries, all religions, all races, all languages are His.  He exists in all of them.

Take a religion, any one you wish. What is it really? It is a creation of man to help him understand something he feels is complex. God did not create religions; God did not make up the rules imposed by man. If he had we would call him a politician instead of God, it is we who have drawn the lines and made the rules and it is we who fight over them.

Story; there were four men from different countries who were traveling together on a quest for enlightenment. One morning they woke and decided what they wanted to eat for breakfast. The Croatian wanted narance, the Norwegian wanted appelsiner, the Welshman argued for orennau while the Spaniard demanded they should have naranjas. Their argument was growing ugly when a wise man stopped to listen. After a moment the wise man raised his hand and said in a commanding voice, “SILENCE!!” the four companions stopped their fighting to hear what the wise man had to say. “Give me your money and I will bring all of you what you desire.” The travelers decided to do this and gave the wise man their coins and, as he walked away, the men turned their backs on each other to wait in angry silence for the old one to return.  Soon they saw him coming back with a sack which he handed them. They opened it anxiously and each triumphantly pulled out their chosen fruit. Each man was holding an orange. Each had been fighting over a difference in language. Pretty silly don’t you think?

That is just what we do over religion. Rather than having a blind faith in a certain religion, we need to embrace the truth that God is in ALL religions, ALL things and ALL people and use this information to foster love , affection and understanding for each other; to embrace our likenesses rather than our differences. See, every day, that God is EVERYWHERE and in ALL OF US with NO restrictions NO conditions and NO exceptions. Bright Blessings

CELEBRATING GRATITUDE

CELEBRATING GRATITUDE

I know that I talk a lot about gratitude but that is because it is so important. Celebrating it is even more so. I say to you that whatever your situation there is something that you can find to grateful for, even if it just that you are alive because where there is life, there is hope and where there is hope there is potential for change.

When we can actually celebrate our blessings, our gifts and the good things we have with heartfelt gratitude, we allow our selves room to focus on our good fortune rather than on what we feel we lack. It allows us to absorb ourselves in good and positive feelings of joy and cheerfulness. As we have learned in the Law of Attraction, because like attracts like, we attract more goodness and joyfulness.

When these feelings rule your life there is no room for negative, toxic energies that create stress and illness and worry. This joyous state of gratitude and love is a shining beacon to the Universe that we are receptive to and appreciative for all the rewards that we currently have, and we are also open and ready for more of the same.

Wishing all of you much Gratitude, Love and Bright Blessings, Chessie

WHY IS WHAT YOU THINK IMPORTANT?

WHY IS WHAT YOU THINK IMPORTANT?

“When you change what you think about, what you think about changes.” {CR}

1)   When you think, you create frequencies that radiate out like a pebble being thrown into a pool of water. As the frequencies move away from your biology, they move whatever they come in contact with; this creates changes in the people and things around you. This affects the attitudes of others whom you encounter. If your vibrations are positive, pleasant and loving, others will be more likely to react in kind.

2)   If you wish to create something that you desire; think about what it is about the desire makes you feel good. If you pull up feelings and thoughts of doubt, want, lack or need that will stop your manifestation cold and you will receive nothing. So focus on what makes you feel good about what you desire to manifest.
Give your self some time with the good feeling, enjoy it and revel in it. If there is any doubt or negative feeling that comes up, find a new thought that feels good. As you think and feel good about your desire, new, positive thoughts will come to you to aid your progress.

3) I tell my students that changing personal areas of your life is a bit of a process and it is. Start small; first, decide what area you wish to change and ask yourself what feelings are associated with it. Now, gently and in a nonjudgmental way, ask yourself what you think about that area. Do you think you should be ashamed, guilty or angry? Are you? If so you need to rethink your feelings because the negative thoughts will create negative feelings and your changes for the better will not occur. If you feel unsure or afraid to implement changes in your thoughts and feelings on the matter, ask yourself what is the reason for the fear and change that first. Once you get to the root of your issue, use positivity and love to find some clear answers that will raise your vibrational frequencies so that you can see your path to revising what you want to change.

Once you have raised yourself to a place of clarity and nonjudgmental action focus your thoughts to create your “point of light” that will resonate with the Universe so that it can send back to you what it is that you truly desire.(change, money, job, home…whatever it may be)

3)   Stays focused on your intent and keep your mind-stream clear and positive every day. If you get caught up in your old negative thought patterns you will stop all forward movement. Remember that manifestation is much like spring; you may not see it working behind the scenes but it is working, change is constant and is the way of the Universe, just because you don’t “see anything” does not mean it is not working; this is where faith and patience come in.

4)   Now here is the weird part. As soon as you are comfortable with your new thoughts, with your new gratitude about it and your new ability to love it, completely let it go and let the Universal Energies of Creation take over. Your changes will manifest faster and more thoroughly if you just let go and let Creation do its job. This will also free you up to work on other things.

THE RETURN TO YOURSELF

THE RETURN TO YOURSELF

One day the air was playing tag with itself and a little puff found himself separated from the main grouping. He had whooshed into something blue and round. He had been unhappy with his life and had wished for something to change so that he could be happy again, until now, nothing had.

“Look at me!” he said to himself, “I’m beautiful! Everyone should see me now!” the little blue puff of air floated away to show off his newfound beauty. As he looked down at the grass waving in the breeze the little puff of air felt superior and yelled, “Hey you grass! Look at me! I am beautiful and you all look the same, I am special! Look at me!!!” the grass just chuckled and paid no attention. This made the puff of air in his balloon feel let down and a little angry.

The little puff in its balloon covering was not to be ignored and continued on his way until he came to the forest. “Hey you forest! Look at me! I am beautiful and you all look the same, I am special! Look at me!!!” again, the forest just chuckled and paid no attention to the little balloon. With each rejection, the little puff in his balloon got angrier and more determined to be thought of as special.

So the little balloon floated out over the ocean, “Hey you water! Look at me! I am beautiful and you all look the same, I am special! Look at me!!!” as before the ocean paid no attention and went on its way.

The balloon was becoming very angry now because no one would admire his new found beauty and exclaim about how special he was. “I am beautiful and I am special,” he grumbled to himself, “Why do others ignore me?” “It isn’t fair and they are making me unhappy because they don’t think I’m special!”

He floated and grumbled and grumbled and floated for a long time all the while becoming angrier with others and increasingly unhappy because of what he thought they were thinking about him. Suddenly he heard laughter and decided to go see who was having fun while he was so miserable. To his astonishment he saw up ahead an entire group of balloons laughing and playing together. There were all different shapes and colors and they were…happy. Delighted to have found others like himself, he rushed in to their midst and shouted, “Hey you balloons! Look at me! I am beautiful and you all need to admire me because I am special! Look at me!!!”

“What’s so special about you?” one of the group wanted to know. “All the red, round balloons are better than you!” “No! The green ones are best!”  “They are not!” shouted a yellow one, “we are the best!”The little blue balloon was stunned, how could these other balloons think they were more special than him in his new blue form? Other balloons were gathering around, each one declaring themselves the most special and the best of all of the balloons! “How rude! How arrogant of them!” thought the blue balloon and his anger begin to spill out and infect the others. They were soon an angry mob.

He moved away from the arguing crowd and toward the other blue balloons that were beginning to group together, “Where did the laughter and fun go? Why are they arguing? We should be the only ones who are angry, we are the only ones who can be considered the best!” he asked the others. “Well,” answered the other balloons, “ it is obvious that they are jealous of us because we are the better balloon.”

Before he knew what was happening, a fight broke out! There was pushing, shoving, shouting and hitting. What had been just an argument was now a war and balloons were being injured and the ugliness was getting unmanageable. The fight got worse and worse and the little blue balloon was afraid and tried to get away from the horrible mess. As the blue balloon was running away, two somethings happened; first he realized that he had started the battle and the second thing was, he burst!

His beautiful blue was just a shriveled, empty and useless thing, fluttering down to the ground and he found the he was free! He had rejoined with and become once more what he truly was, air! He was once again his true self; happy, carefree and at peace. The rest of the air rejoiced to have him back and welcomed him with love and happiness. “Why aren’t you angry with me for being so vain and arrogant?” the little puff of air asked.

The air considered his question for a moment and answered,” When one of us goes out on their own to discover their path and learn about life as something that they are not, we let them go. As they grow and learn what is on their path, it always bring them back to their source and we are always glad to have them home and welcome them with love. Now what lessons did you learn while you were apart from us?”

The little puff of air thought for a minute and said, “We need to see the air in everyone and love that part of them because we are all part of each other, be true to yourself, don’t waste your time trying to be what you are not, see our likenesses and not try to create differences to fight about.  Is that right?”

The air answered, “Each person learns different lessons but the ones that you have listed are some of the biggest and most universal. Welcome home and be at peace.” The little puff of air, now wiser and at peace with himself gladly embraced his place in the universe.

As people we need to recognize the Universal Energy of Creation that is the animating force in each of us. Look for how we are alike and embrace that and stop fighting over what we perceive as differences. Learn the difference between the “power to” and the “power over” and allow others to be what they are. Bright Blessings, Chessie

YOUR MIND AND THE SKY

YOUR MIND AND THE SKY

I woke up early one morning and decided to meditate on the porch in the cool of the morning. My mind was doing that thing it likes to do sometimes when it just refuses to be still and wants to act like an over stimulated two year old, so I gave in and decided to just enjoy the now and be the observer of my morning. The breeze was deliciously refreshing and the birds were just beginning to awaken. One would twitter off in the distance, then another a little closer. The sun was still well below the tree tops and the early train blew to announce its pending arrival in the city.

As I sipped my coffee and let my mind have its way, my attention was drawn to movement over head. Looking up, I had a beautiful view of the early morning blue sky way up overhead, calm, serene and completely unconcerned about anything going on below. A little lower than the blue were bright white, feathery clouds that did not appear to move. Lower than the feathers were large fluffy towers of a not quite so white clouds, tinged pink by the sun on top and shading into a light grey toward their bottom, that were moving along at a respectable pace. Lower still, so low in fact that I felt I could have touched them with my hand had I stood on the table where my coffee sat were very thin angry looking, dark gray wispy clouds that were scudding along so fast you have thought they were being chased.

As I watched the play of sky and the three layers of clouds it struck me that the difference in the clouds appearance and speed was rather like the mind. The angry grey ones were acting like my unruly disrespectful mind was acting; full of thoughts I would rather not entertain and scudding rapidly, not calming down when I asked. The big fluffy sun-tinged ones were similar to thought that I have on a daily basis, rosy in places and darker than I would like in others. They moved ponderously and deliberately like my average day ran. The high, still ones made me decide that they were the thoughts just before meditation, light airy and barely moving at all. And there, beyond all this colorful, multi-shaped movement was the sky. Blue and still, always there whether I could see it or not it would be there, just being; very like the quiet, still mind in mediation, totally unaffected by the clouds. As I sat and considered this play of cloud and sky, I slipped, unnoticed into meditation where I stayed until the sun peeked over the treetops and shown in my face. Surprised and blinking like I had just come out of a movie theater I realized three things; 1) that I had enjoyed a beautiful insight and lesson; 2) that I was ready to go inside and get another cup of coffee and 3) My backside was ready for a softer chair.

Coffee replenished, and my softer chair acquired and unwilling to give up my feeling of calm and quiet, I decided to read in my yoga book before starting to work.  I opened the book at my marked place and began to read. Imagine my surprise when I read; “…do not try to impose any conditions on your meditation. Simply turn your attention and meditate on the knower who is always aware. Do not worry if your mind spins. So many clouds come and go in the sky but the sky remains pure; it is not affected by the clouds. In the same way, when thoughts arise and disperse in the mind, the Self is not disturbed by them.  If you can, clear your thoughts away. If you can not, try to perceive the witness of those thoughts.  If you focus on that witness, the thoughts will calm on their own.”
The Law of Attractions lessons flooded in upon me as I sat thinking about what I had just experienced and read just behind it. With lessons learned and internalized it came to me that I should share them with you. So I punched on my computer and…  Bright Blessings to you all. Chessie
