THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS
THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS IN THE LANGUAGE
©Chessie Roberts 2010 all rights reserved
Do you find yourself becoming argumentative and defensive over the slightest thing? Does it seem to you that others are not getting with your program? Could it be that you are attempting to exercise control over something you can’t or should not be controlling?
If these issues are in your life, you need to learn about the two most powerful words in any language, “Let go.” I f you will ask yourself a few questions you will see very quickly how and where to use these wonderful words.
When you are pressing a point ask if the point is truly important. Will it be important in ten minutes? How about one month? A Year? If the subject is so trivial as to be lost in the next ten minutes, why waste time, energy, and frustration on it in the first place? Let it go. If in a months time the point is not something worth remembering, then why pursue it? See how that works?
Secondly ask yourself why it is important to you to be the ‘winner’ of this particular argument/difference of opinion? Is the subject of the argument important enough to agree to disagree? If not, it is not important enough to argue about in the first place. Remember that everyone has an opinion and rarely are two just alike and that is ok but to have to be correct all of the time about everything (no matter how trivial) sais that there deeper issues of control that need to occupying you time.
As you learn how to let go of the small things and be OK with that, the larger things will be easier to let go of as well. Letting go will de-clutter your life and make the more important things (those truly important) clearer so that you can take care of them in a positive and balanced way.

LIVING IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE
LIVING IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE
“The conditioned mind is very slick. The mind's job is to protect you and
keep you in your comfort zone. That's why many people miss out on opportunity
because they have been conditioned to say no.
“Get out
of your conditioned mind and expand your potential!” (Barry Tatum)
My friend, Barry Tatum,
made this comment the other day and it got me thinking about how deeply we do
confine ourselves with this very concept.
We do it in all of our existence; our body, our mind and our spirit, all to our
detriment. Just like Barry said, this confinement causes us to miss out on
opportunities simply due to subconscious conditioning, most of which happened
so long ago that it is outmoded and unworthy of us, but we settle for it
because we think we’re supposed to. Anyone who has gone through the Evolution
of Self; Journey into Body, Mind, Spirit Balance experience knows that this is
a big part of the program, letting go of what no longer serves you. By stepping
out of your comfort zone and embracing your ‘new’, your ‘now’, your
‘worthiness’ and investigating your new potential and expanding on it you will
discover things you never thought possible.
Comfort is something that all of us strive for but it can be a trap, like the
one in the quote above, it keeps us stagnant, not growing. Because we feel that
our current circumstance is comfortable because it is what we’re used to, we
stay where we are. Now here is the kicker, just because we happen to be in what
we feel is a comfort zone, rarely are we truly happy there. The abused spouse,
the poor, the hungry, the person who dislikes their job, the person who feels
they want to move from where they are. All of these people may feel that they
are comfortable (only because they know what expect) but they are most
certainly not happy.
The human condition is to reach out and up, to attempt to better ones self and
if this forward movement is not happening, there is discontentment, a feeling
of failure, loss of control, the feeling of defeat and no way out. The human
condition is also sometimes one of blaming others or circumstances in order to
make things too hard to get away from. Being a victim is the easy way, the
comfortable way. BUT these actions and thoughts are not the way to grow and
embrace your potential.
Learning to stand in one’s own power, to own one’s actions and choices, to see
solutions rather than problems, and to seek knowledge that will drive one’s
dreams is to “get out of your conditioned mind and expand your potential!” this
is where you will find true happiness and accomplishment.
Add to all of the above; learn to like yourself and those around you. Laugh; be
so grateful and happy with what you already have that others begin to ask you
why you are so happy, what your secret is. By that you will know that you are
achieving something that you can be proud of and share, you are growing,
expanding and actively reaching for your potential. Setting goals for yourself
and achieving them reconditions your mind and gives you unlimited room for
expanding your potential. I challenge you to evaluate your gifts and reevaluate
where you are vs where you truly want to be and create positive, loving and
attainable goals for yourself. As you reach one, set the next one and so on.
One day you will look around you and be amazed at what you have accomplished
for yourself and others.
I wish you expansion, opportunity, great potential, gratitude and love. Bright
Blessings, C. S. Roberts

WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?
WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?
When you contemplate your life and where it is now and where it is going, where
is your focus? Are you looking at what you have or what you don’t have? What are
you miserable about or what are you grateful for? Where have you been or where are
you going? What do you truly want or what you think you should want? Are you
concerned about what others think you should be doing or are you focused on
what you truly want to be doing?
In short are you living your life or one that others have told you that you
should be living? If you are not happy in your life, what are you doing to
change it? Do you know how to change?
Let’s talk about your mind-stream for a moment. Your mind-stream is what I call
your regular or constant thought track. If you are in the habit of thinking about
what you don’t want, like, feel etc. what you are actually doing is calling all
of that into your life, especially if you feel any emotion about these
thoughts. The Universe hears/feels your negative, hurtful and ugly vibrations
of “don’t/can’t have” and answers, “OK, you’ve got it.”
Let’s turn that around to a better way. Decide what you truly want and get
emotional about that. The Universe will hear/feel your raised, positive, loving
vibrations and answers, “OK, you’ve got it.”
OK now ask yourself which of these is better for, and more worthy of you? Do
you want to lower your life’s vibrations and wallow in victim think? Or would
you rather raise your vibrations to meet those of the Universe and become the
happy, successful “I CAN” that you were meant to be? As always, the choice is
yours and up to you.
I wish you best, worthy, balanced choices and bright blessings Chessie

WHERE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
THAN WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
© Chessie Roberts2010, all
rights reserved
When I was a teenager the trend of the day for the girls was to wash and roll
your hair in the morning and to keep the rollers in until time for your
‘special event’ of the day. Your ‘event’ could be a date, shopping with your
friends or going out to dinner with the family, anything would do for the main
happening for the day. My Mother and I would argue horribly over this
particular teenage tradition. One day I was reading a newspaper column by Ann
Landers where she asked a (what was for me) life changing question.
“Where are you going that is more important than where you are now?”
I was recently reminded of this question when I was talking to a friend of
mine. He was lamenting the fact that he had not had a good time at a play that
he had attended. I asked what had happened to keep him from enjoying the play
and he told me that the lights had been turned down and he could not read the
book he wanted to read. I would have thought he would have been watching the
play that he had paid to attend rather than reading a book. Who does that I
asked myself?
I soon discovered that even on camping trips people are playing video games,
texting (and being annoyed by incoming texts), talking on cell phones and being
upset by weak signals to their appliances. Even getting to the woods, children
must now be entertained with movies rather than paying attention to what is
outside the car window. My thought is why go camping if you are going to stay
tethered?
As I work with people in the Evolution of Self program, I find that many people
are very unhappy because they are trying to be in more places than where they
physically are. I can see that there are times when this is required but not
every minute of the day. (I also learned that our minds do not actually
multi-task, they just do more than one thing poorly.)
Start looking at where you are now, what you are supposed to be doing now and
concentrate on that, be in that ‘now’. Don’t worry about where you will need to
be in the next hour or day and do your best where you are now. Begin asking yourself,
“Where is more important than where I am right now?” Make your ‘now’ as
important as your ‘later’ so that you stay focused. Then, when you finish that
time frame move on to the next.
Anticipation is a good thing but not to the detriment of you being in your
‘now’. Learn to enjoy the ‘now’ no matter where or what it is and you will find
that your days go by better and your enjoyment of life increases.

YOUR ACTIONS AND THEIR RIPPLE EFFECT
© Chessie Roberts 2010 all
right reserved
This is for everyone but especially for those people you may know who are
convinced that they know ever so much more than any adult on the planet. You
may pick up a thing or two yourself.
Have you ever thrown a pebble into a still water pond? Did you notice how far
the ripples spread? What you may not see is how far they spread and exactly
what they move that is floating on the surface, leaves, bugs, grass, anything
growing up through the water.
Let’s think
about what happens when these ripples that you have chosen to cause hit the
shore of the pond. They bounce back and move toward the center of the
disturbance. This reversed movement will again move everything on the waters’
surface.
Lets’ think of the ponds surface as your life and the pebble as the action that
you choose to take in any given situation. The “stuff” in/on the water is now
the people with whom you interact. Ready? Here we go. We will discuss other people’s
pebbles at the end of this.
You get angry about something and decide to leave home (you’ll show them!!!). Of
course, since you’re angry, you don’t plan well and don’t think it through
well. You leave things behind and you don’t (at this time) care where you will
go, what you will do when you get there nor how you will support yourself. All
of this will come to you on the back-ripple side of things. To make your escape
you involve your friends. They mean well but they don’t understand the ripples
ether.
Now, your family finds out and gosh, they are upset!! (ah ha, you got their
attention). They have to find you, so they also involve every one you know. If
that doesn’t work the police get in on things (did you know that there are and
will be charges, many charges filed by the police when you do this?) All manner
of things fall into place, nationwide alerts go out, street cops looking for
you, pictures of you are everywhere, friends (some you will know, some you may
not know) and neighbors will be looking for you. Then you have the bad guys who
are ALWAYS looking for an easy mark and then, I know you won’t see them coming.
As a runaway, cold hungry, no back up, no support (here come those back ripples
I spoke of) you are that easy mark.
As if that wasn’t enough, there are others throwing their pebbles into the
pond. Those actions have their own ripple patterns, and they will interfere
with the ripples of others as well as yours. This can quickly become an oogy
mess. Do you have the picture? The point of this whole thing is to show you
that everything you choose to do will affect everyone around you to some
degree. A lot of those degrees you may not ever be aware of, and some will come
back to smack you in the face. The point of this is, pay attention and keep
your mind with you at all times. OK?
For the more positive and evolved of you out there, this is also the case with
the good actions. Be aware that some of the ripples counteract other ripples
(like people praying for different outcomes to the same situation) and some
enhance them (that is why many praying for a single outcome works so
powerfully). If you know someone that you may be able to help with this please
feel free to pass it on.

CHOICES; YOUR KEYS TO EVERYTHING
YOUR KEYS TO EVERYTHING
© 2010 Chessie Roberts,
all rights reserved
Do you know that you are allowed to choose the life you truly want? You are not
bound by the way other people think you should live, think or feel? Of course,
there laws and rules of society that we all must follow but I am speaking here
of your core truths, values and vibrations. These are yours and, though you may
share them with others and mold them to fit the societal constraints around
you, you are allowed to choose to feel, think and vibrate with them as you
will.
Now you can make choices that are not uplifting or good for you but by the same
token you can make the ones that raise your vibrations and take you in
directions that will get you where you truly want to go. These are the ones
that I am addressing here.
Someone said to me a few weeks ago that they are searching for the keys
(choices that will raise their vibrations) to (match) the Universe. I found
this quote from Swami Beyondanada that sums up that thought process; “If you
are looking for the key to the Universe, I’ve got some good news and some bad
news. The bad news is that there is no key; the good news is that it (The
Universe) was never locked.”
All we have
to do is choose to vibrate in the higher vibrations, the ones born from love.
The truth here is that you always attract that which you are a vibrational
match too. Therefore, make choices that come from that field of love and watch
how your vibrations rise and how easy it becomes to make the “right” choices
for you.

HOW DO I SLOW DOWN TO LET MY FRIENDS CATCH UP?
HOW DO I
SLOW DOWN TO LET MY FRIENDS
CATCH UP?
One of the responses that I received to my invitation to ask topic questions
was “How do I slow down so that my friends and family can catch up with my
growth?”
The short answer is that you don’t. Everyone understands and grows at their own
rate. I am sure you have heard the saying that “when the student is ready the
teacher will appear”. Your friends and loved ones may have their “Ah-ha”
moments at different times than you do. That is OK. You must be yourself and
they must be themselves. This is one of those things over which you have no
control and that is OK as well.
If you attempt to stunt your growth to accommodate someone else’s schedule, you
will find quickly that it feels uncomfortable for you. You may find that you
are frustrated, angry or there may be some pain involved. All of these fear-based
feelings occur because you are denying yourself who and what you are becoming.
Learning is why you are on this path in the first place, right?
Now if you choose to keep this (these people) person in your life, focus on
what you love about them rather than what you don’t. If you focus on the
negatives and differences, you will find that this is where your discomfort
starts.
Focusing on what you love about them will allow your vibrations to continue to
rise and spontaneously, theirs will too. Now I’m not telling you to grab their
hand and haul them up there with you, the love and the Universe will take care
of all of that. If you try, you will be right back at the beginning of the
question.
See your
growth as an opportunity to share your knowledge and opinions with others while
allowing them to share their knowledge and opinions with you. Their opinions
and knowledge may be different, but you can still learn from them if you choose
to allow yourself to listen.
If your friends are uncomfortable around you then that is their issue, not
yours. Your issue is your growth. So…give yourself, your friends and loved one’s
space and the freedom to just Be. You will see that it all works out just as it
is meant to in the end. It is OK to outgrow people and have them out grow you,
but by the same process, you will be growing up toward others, that is how we
learn and become what we are to become.

Invation to all followers of Evolution of Self; Journey into Body,Mind,Spirit Balance
Dear Readers (if you will permit me to borrow the phrase), I have been talking
to you about all sorts of topics in these blogs. I thought that you may have
topics you would like to see covered. Here is your chance to tell me what you
want to read about.
Some of you are new to Evolution of Self; Journey into Body, Mind, Spirit
Balance so here is a brief overview. This is a program that helps anyone who
wishes to participate to regain their balance in these three areas. I created
it in an effort to heal myself and found that others wanted to know and
understand what I had done.
The program covers
1) Your
birthright; the information with you were born and what became of it.
2) Centering
which is about pulling yourself together to clear an inner pathway for your
energy to travel.
3) Grounding
yourself to the Earth that is your energetic source.
4) How to
create a calm mindset to help you stay focused and less stressed.
5) The
proper way to speak to yourself without judgment or criticism.
6) How to
visualize what you truly want.
7-13) How to
tap into each internal energy center and make it more efficient for you.
Let me know what you would like to read more about and I will address each
topic in order of its demand. You may email me at chessrob05@gmail.com, post a
message or go to the discussions tab on Facebook or comment at this blog site.
I check all of them regularly. Bright Blessings, Chessie

FEAR; IT IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF Part 3, Where is Your Comfort Zone?
3 FEAR IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF Part 3
© Chessie Roberts 2010, all
rights reserved
Where is Your Comfort Zone?
Our comfort zone is the little box we live in where everything is j-u-s-t the
way we like it, we are comfortable. Sounds great right? Well, I guess it can be,
but we need to watch out because it can keep us from growing, moving, sharing,
or creating. To do that, we must (shaky, scary letters here) STEP OUT OF THE
ZONE. That is sometimes a very fear-inducing thing to do.
Where are the boundaries of your comfort zone? Do you feel comfortable talking
to strangers? Is it easy for you to eat alone in a restaurant? How do you feel
about public speaking? How about going into a social situation unescorted?
Would you rather hug someone (not family), shake hands or hide in a hole? Does
interstate traffic make you wish you were driving a tank instead of your poor
defenseless car? Do places of authority scare the starch right out of you?
I understand, there are things outside everyone’s comfort zone. Things that you
would rather chew broken glass than face. things that you fear and that is ok.
Here is where we talk about changing that. Don’t panic, you don’t have to make
a speech on top of a speeding truck on the interstate, baby steps, baby steps.
What I am advocating is just expanding the zone of what is comfortable for you.
As you overcome things that make you fearful, your courage to try something new
grows. As that happens, you become more and more powerful and fear less.
Let’s break it down. To be able to begin talking to someone you don’t know very
well try just asking the time or complementing something about that person.
When this is comfortable you can ask questions that require conversation on the
part of the other person. Soon you will be able to speak to anyone.
Eating alone in a restaurant is intimidating to a lot of people so know you are
not alone. Start small with a fast-food place. Everyone is in a hurry, and you
won’t be noticed. Then move up to some place that caters to your neighborhood.
Next, try the larger chains, by then you will be able to go anywhere.
Public speaking is the most feared thing out there and I strongly suggest a
public speaking club such as Toastmasters. They will walk you right through it
with all the support, encouragement and guidance you can ever want.
Get the picture here? Just take one small step until you feel comfortable and
then the next. Every time you reach and stretch, you grow closer to handling your
fears in a powerful, productive and positive way.
Until next week, Bright Blessings. Chessie

Why Make A Resolution?
Why Make A Resolution?
© Chessie Roberts 2010, EOS Used by
permission
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become
actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for
they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.” -
Tom Krause
A resolution is usually made in the heat of the moment without much thought. It
is usually made as a lofty proclamation without expectation of achievement.
Because of these circumstances, they are doomed to fail, and…they do; leaving
the maker with a sense of failure or a “see, I told you so” mind set.
I used to be one of those people until I decided just never make resolutions
again. Guess what? I was able to keep that one. In reality a resolution is just
another way to set a goal for yourself. They should be made the same way we set
any other goal. We aren’t usually taught how to do that so here are some guide
lines.
1) Goals are good to have because they let us see that we are progressing in
the direction we feel we want to go.
2) They give us a time frame in which to work so we know when to push or hold
back.
3) Set something for yourself that you truly believe you can accomplish. Be
kind to you and start gently if you are new at this.
4) Set a realistic time frame, remember; Rome wasn’t built in a day.
5) Review your desired outcome to see just what the baby steps are that will
get you the desired outcome.
a) Are they easier to reach?
b) Will the time frame for each step be more acceptable to you?
c) Will your reward for the achievement of each step help you move on to the
next one?
Baby step goals are usually the best way to go because you don't get
discouraged and quit. If you shoot straight for the whole thing at once,
chances are you will either not recognize it when you get there or stop just
before success.
You will find that by following these few steps toward creating something truly
worthwhile to you, you will start your year out with a sense of accomplishment
that will set the tone for a purposeful and prosperous year. Happy 2010 everyone.
Bright
Blessings. Chessie
