THOUGHTS ON WHY WE CRY WHEN SOMEBODY DIES

THOUGHTS ON WHY WE CRY WHEN SOMEBODY DIES

My husband and I experienced the sudden loss of a wonderful friend yesterday. His death struck us both profoundly and deeply. We were both surprised because we weren't terribly close to the person. But we did both like him very much.

Because we both believe in reincarnation and understand that when someone dies it is their time to do so, no matter how old or young are; no matter how “good” or “bad” humanity perceives them to be, no matter any judgment placed on them to categorize them. We feel that when it is time to go, one goes. Yes, we mourn with the families, however, we rejoice with the one who has left us for that is a joyful thing for them no matter how it occurs, they have gone home.

We know and understand the seven stages of grief; First is shock and denial; The Second is pain and guilt; Third is anger and bargaining; Forth is depression, reflection and loneliness; Fifth is the upward turn; Sixth is reconstruction and working through it all; and Seventh is acceptance and hope. We have experienced all of them both together and separately but never before all at the same time.

Now this leads me to the thoughts about why we cry when some one passes out of our lives. As I understand our anatomy, we have three different kinds of tears and the ones we use at this time are the third kind; the ones we produce when our body reacts to something on an emotional level. Each type of tear contains different amounts of chemical proteins and hormones. Scientists have discovered that the emotional tears contain higher levels of manganese and the hormone called prolactin. As we cry our body experiences a reduction of both of these. This reduction helps us to keep depression away. Many people have found that crying actually calms them after being upset, and this is in part due to the chemicals and hormones that are released in the tears. The emotions that create this feeling, this need are many and varied. They also occur in different intensity in different people.

Science aside, we cry because we FEEL like it. This particular passing hit us so hard (even if only for a few hours) that it made us question and examine our individual and collective response to it. What I have gathered from this experience is that perhaps humanity is connected on such deep levels that most, even the scientists are totally unaware of it. Most of the time, society doesn't react to the passing of someone that is not a close friend or relation unless it is on a huge national level, like when the towers were hit on 9-11 or a well publicized incident such as a child trapped in a well or hikers lost in the wilderness. I think most of us have experienced these. But to feel so deeply, so profoundly about a connection to a passing such as this, makes me think there may be more to our human connection than we have realized.

Was he a friend? Yes. Was he a dear person that we liked to interact with? Yes. Were we connected by the love of the same thing (music in this case)? Yes. Did he support us in our musical endeavors? Yes. Did we love him as a friend and colleague? Yes. BUT we weren't what you would call “close” but we were “connected” and I feel that connection may have been the reason we felt his loss so acutely. As I write this I keep getting a mental picture of grass. We see it as different blades but in truth most grasses are one large organism that is linked by its roots, underground where we don't see the connection. The other mental image I get is of bees. They communicate and are connected in ways we don't see. Come to think of it the entire animal kingdom is connected on subtle levels the we humans are only now just beginning to understand. So I am deeply contemplating our true connection and what it really means to the human animal. If we could/would become as aware of our earthly as well as our spiritual connection to each other, the animals, our planet and our Source, maybe...just maybe we would all be better off?

WHAT AM I?

WHAT AM I?

Because I am the energy of creation; its’ vessel and its conduit; I am
connected to an unlimited abundance. Who and what I require
appears at exactly the correct time.” {C. S. Roberts} Evolution of
Self; Journey into Body, Mind, Spirit Balance

You are NOT what you see in the mirror. You are a soul first and a
biological vehicle secondly. You, me, all of us are souls that animate
the bodies in which we travel. Without the animating force of the
soul we would be nothing. We would not be able to feel, create,
share, love, manifest, or anything else. As “pieces of The Divine
Energy” we are powerful and loving. So what is the catch you may
well ask. The catch is that we have to remember what we truly are.
As we grow up and learn what we and others feel we need to know
to get along in this mundane life, we forget our true origins. Don't
panic here, it is natural and we all do it BUT, we do not have to stay
ignorant of where we came from and what we truly are.

What do I need to do to remember?” I was asked by a friend of mine
recently. Ready? What you need to do is... pay attention to what is
no longer serving you, what is not making sense to you anymore and
remember. Sounds tricky right? Not really. As you begin to question
things that you once took as truth, you know the things I am
referring to, those things that make you wonder “why it might be
so”; things that make you wonder “how someone may have thought
'that' up”! You start looking for better answers to those questions
and, as you look, you realize that most of the questions just aren't
important any more (most never were) You may find that a lot of the
answers will come from an acceptance on a Faith Base rather than
on a “statics, charts and graphs base.” You learn to “feel” the
rightness of a thing, situation or experience and by that feeling,
know that it is correct for you.

As this growth process continues, you realize that what is right for
you may or may NOT be right for someone else and that it is OK.
We all learn differently and that's OK. We all have different life
experiences and understandings and that is OK. What is correct for
you may resonate with another, and it may not and that too is OK.

The truth that makes you, you is not always the truth that makes
someone else themselves and that is OK as well. When you reach the
level that allows you to be you and others to be who and what they
are, with no judgment, criticism or manipulation on your part, then
you have remembered fully what and who you truly are.
You are ready for whatever YOUR next step may be.

WHY IS WHAT YOU THINK IMPORTANT?

WHY IS WHAT YOU THINK IMPORTANT?

“When you change what you think about, what you think about changes.”  Dr. Wayne Dyer

1)   When you think, you create frequencies that radiate out like a pebble being thrown into a pool of water. As the frequencies move away from your biology, they move whatever they come in contact with; this creates changes in the people and things around you. This affects the attitudes of others whom you encounter. If your vibrations are positive, pleasant and loving, others will be more likely to react in kind.

2)   If you wish to create something that you desire; think about what it is about the desire makes you feel good. If you pull up feelings and thoughts of doubt, want, lack or need that will stop your manifestation cold and you will receive nothing. So, focus on what makes you feel good about what you desire to manifest.
Give yourself some time with the good feeling, enjoy it and revel in it. If there is any doubt or negative feeling that comes up, find a new thought that feels good. As you think and feel good about your desire, new, positive thoughts will come to you to aid your progress.

3) I tell my students that changing personal areas of your life is a bit of a process and it is. Start small; first, decide what area you wish to change and ask yourself what feelings are associated with it. Now, gently and in a nonjudgmental way, ask yourself what you think about that area. Do you think you should be ashamed, guilty or angry? Are you? If so, you need to rethink your feelings because the negative thoughts will create negative feelings and your changes for the better will not occur. If you feel unsure or afraid to implement changes in your thoughts and feelings on the matter, ask yourself what is the reason for the fear and change in the first place. Once you get to the root of your issue, use positivity and love to find some clear answers that will raise your vibrational frequencies so that you can see your path to revising what you want to change.

Once you have raised yourself to a place of clarity and nonjudgmental action focus your thoughts to create your “point of light” that will resonate with the Universe so that it can send back to you what it is that you truly desire.(change, money, job, home…whatever it may be)

3)   Stay focused on your intent and keep your mind-stream clear and positive every day. If you get caught up in your old negative thought patterns you will stop all forward movement. Remember that manifestation is much like spring; you may not see it working behind the scenes, but it is working, change is constant and is the way of the Universe, just because you don’t “see anything” does not mean it is not working; this is where faith and patience come in.

4)   Now here is the weird part. As soon as you are comfortable with your new thoughts, with your new gratitude about them and your new ability to love whatever it is, completely let it go and let the Universal Energies of Creation take over. Your changes will manifest faster and more thoroughly if you just let go and let Creation do its job. This will also free you up to work on other things.

ADVERSITY

                                  ADVERSITY

Adversity, what is it to you? Some feel that is just bad luck, some think it is just something that needs to be lived with and so it is their way of life. To some, it’s what they feel they deserve and for others it is something unpleasant that happens to people that they neither know nor care about so is not their concern.

It is, for some, something to run from; it has been defined as problems, pain, suffering, and wounds. There are those who see it as a reason to be the victim and garner sympathy or a good reason to be miserable; some people just like to wallow in it.

Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Trouble (adversity) creates a capacity to handle it.” This is true because adversity is actually your life lesson, your curriculum for learning to create the whole, balanced, productive, prosperous and abundant life that you deserve.

If you feel you have it bad and wait around for worse to happen, and it will if you are waiting for it, you will find that “bad” looked pretty good. This is the thought process of a good 95% of the population. By investing the time to read and think about changing your thoughts to a more positive vein, you will have moved into the 5% that have chosen to change their thought process for the better. It has been proven that when you change what you think about, what you think about changes and that process also changes the way you act. For instance, M. Kathleen Casey said that “Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.” It is all in how you think about it.

So I challenge you to turn your thoughts and feelings around so that you do indeed change the way you think, so that what you think about changes. When you accomplish this, you will find that your life will start to become exactly what you truly want and you will begin to receive the best of everything that you deserve.

YOU ARE DENIED NOTHING, EVER!

             YOU ARE DENIED NOTHING, EVER!

What makes you angry, sad, miserable, jealous, ashamed, guilty? How about indifferent, vengeful, disdainful, demanding, hopeless or apathetic? Know that all of these emotions come from the fear end of your emotional spectrum.

Each and every one of these emotions does several things to you,

1) they make you ill on some level of your being,

 2) they lower your spiritual vibrations so that you are farther and farther from your source which will make it harder for you to get back up there, and

3) they will bring down everyone around you until you are surrounded by those who like it down there or

4) you will have no support at all. And

5) YOU WILL GET MORE OF WHAT IS BOTHERING YOU.

The reason for this is that the Universe has no filters. It hears/feels your emotions and gives you more of whatever your emotions are putting out there. So, you ask, “How do I turn this around?”

You start by changing your emotional response to everything. Don’t panic, you can do this. Begin by looking for things, anything, that make your emotions respond from the love end of the spectrum. What makes you feel loving, merciful, at peace, satisfied, joyous, blissful, understanding or forgiving? How about illuminated, serene, or optimistic? All of these come from the love end of the spectrum and they raise your vibrations up to meet the Universe, and it responds to them too. The difference is in what you receive, MORE OF WHAT YOU DO WANT.

Which way do you want your life to go; up or down; into love or fear; into want and need or abundance and prosperity? The choice is yours to make. Remember, you are denied nothing, ever, all you need to do if ask/feel.
