JUDGMENT AND LOVE

             JUDGMENT AND LOVE
© Chessie Roberts 2012, all rights reserved

Nature does not judge. The bear does not judge the tiger. The tiger does not judge the fish. The mountain does not judge the water. The rain does not judge the tree. The plants do not judge the earth, and the earth does not judge humanity. But...humanity judges everything; Plants, animals, water, weather and sadly each other.

At the level of our fourth chakra we should come into the mature love, the love for the sake of love. Love that allows things and people to just be. Love that does not judge or manipulate, love that just is. It doesn’t judge ones' faith or sexual orientation or clothing or caste or job or anything it just allows. It a love that lifts up, heals, raises the one who feels it to heights unknown before. It is a love that delights in the happiness and success or others. It creates joy and opportunities for joy. It does not bring sorrow or pain, it loves only love as its only gain.

Love is the magic component of the Universe. Love is the goal; love is the answer love is...everything worth having. May you find, embrace and share this love. Namaste Chessie

NO, REALLY I LOVE IT

                     NO, I REALLY LOVE IT
© Chessie Roberts 2012 All rights reserved
I was having my hair cut the other day and the gentleman in the chair next to me and I struck up a conversation about people in a relationship. He said that he had learned in his life to just say “Yes dear, that is lovely! No, really, I love it.” no matter how it looked. I countered that it wasn't that way with my husband and me. If he thought something looked off, wrong or not flattering, he would tell me so. The man said, “and you get mad and there is a fight, right?”

I took a few seconds to think about it and decided that I could answer with all honesty, “No, we don't fight. I ask for his opinion expecting honesty and I get it. Why should I be mad when I asked for his truthful opinion?” My conversation partner, and the hairdresser were both unconvinced. They decided that I was being duped and that my take on it was all wrong.... this made me sad, not for me but for them.

On my way home and for a few hours after this encounter I pondered this topic. Are all relationships as dishonest and shallow as the one they had described? When I got home, I posed the conversation to my husband and he raised an eyebrow and asked me if I was questioning his veracity at this late date (we have been married almost 19 years) I told him no, that I was wondering about other people.

One of the things that gets promised in most wedding vows is to love, honor, and cherish the other person. I am forced, in light of this conversation, to wonder how one can love, honor or cherish their chosen partner and lie to them on a daily basis. If you truly do love someone you don't send them out the door looking bad when all you had to do was say something like, I think the blue one looks better on you, or no, that hat doesn’t flatter you. By the same token, if you don't want the truth, DON'T ASK FOR IT. If you do ask, then don't get mad at the answer. Stop and think for a minute how ridiculous that exercise truly is. In asking what you don't want a truthful answer to, you are setting your partner up to start a disagreement...why would you do that except to create drama.
Why do you feel that is a good idea. If you want to fight, why not just ask for your significant other to tell you a whopper of a lie about anything and fight about that? Or to be more honest about it say, “I want to fight with you because our life is peaceful and wonderful and I would rather it be mean and awful.” and start your fight that way? Sounds pretty stupid right? Well, it is no more stupid than the constant lying.

Next time you are about to ask a question, decide whether your question is worthy of the truth and important enough to ask or are you just starting some drama. Do you really want the truth? When it's your turn to answer, you might ask whether the person asking wants the truth or are they just making noise; if you aren't sure, ask them. Try and start a new tradition of truth and respect in your relationship, you may be surprised how easy it is and how much better you feel.

I hope this has given you some insight into something that may make your life more love filled and less dramatic. “May the entire Universe be filled with Peace and Joy, Love and Light. May the light of Truth overcome all darkness! Victory to that Light! Jai!”

WHAT DOES YOUR JOY LOOK LIKE TODAY?

WHAT DOES YOUR JOY LOOK LIKE TODAY?

“One of the sanest, surest & most generous joys of life comes from being happy over the good fortune of others.” {Robert A. Heinlein}

As some of you know, I ask a question of the day on Face Book every morning and one of my favorite questions was, “What does your joy look like today?” I enjoyed the answers that I received, and they prompted this blog.

The first person answered, “A beautiful heartwarming dramatic movie, exquisite (to me) food, and letting my passion express itself through my creativity!” A movie can surely influence your mood.

The reason being that it involves all of your senses, thereby triggering your emotions and they, in turn, trigger your chemistry. A bit sneaky yes but very affective when you are looking for a boost to how you are feeling that day.

Food is another good way to “feel joy” both by its preparation and by its consumption. Having good company in the kitchen can be very joy filled.

Someone else quoted the Buddha; "We are shaped by our thoughts.  We become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves."{Buddha} This is sage advice, I teach and live by the adage that “as we think so we are.” {Chessie Roberts}

And with the conscious, aware intention to be happy and filled with joy, you stand a much better chance of having it happen.

One of the answers was based on having a project go in the desired direction: “Its contingent on if I get more people to pick up their volunteer packets for this weekend Joy meter on the rise.” I caution you here that if your joy depends on anything outside you, you run the risk of having it let you down. If you are leaning on an outside project, do it with the conscious awareness of being happy no matter which way the outcome falls, and you will achieve greater goals than you ever before thought possible.

This next was a conversation between two of the answering parties. “Getting my procrastinating butt out the door and editing at the library/ ‎(to be honest, at the moment I am vacillating between a yoga session first or getting straight to editing.... feeling the yoga need, but can it wait till after?)

Reply by person #2 “If you are “yoga-ed” your editing session will probably go better.

Back to person #1 “Very true, thank you, besides, this would be a quiet yoga session now, where I may have other 'participants' later.... decision made!” Exercise is always a good way to lift your spirits and get you motivated and energized. Yoga is an amazing way to accomplish this because it oxygenates your blood and the gentle stretches wake your body and make it ready to take on the world.

Having a defined plan is also good for your productivity because you know exactly what to do next. You don't frustrate yourself trying to decide what your next step will be.

The next person chose the attitude of gratitude; “My joy looks like waking up this morning.  Good or bad, I am grateful for another day.” Being grateful for your life and everything in it carries great joy in and of itself. If you are truly grateful for where you are right now, you draw more joy and good things to you.

The next person chose a childhood memory that elicited joy from within “I awoke to see a fog bank surrounding me this morning.  It always feels like hiding beneath the covers when I was a child. It always gives me joy” The recalling of childhood joys and bringing that joy into your present is a lovely to experience joy in your present.

This is one that I use a lot; “I find something kind to do for someone else. I try to do it anonymously (the joy is greater if I can) It doesn't have to be a big thing, but it must be done with no thought of reward. It works every time!” I don't think I need to add anything to this one.

Here you have some wonderful examples of how to find joy in your life, I am sure there are many more. The surest one I know of is to intend that you are joyful while using the tools at your disposal to make it so. That very last one is one I use when I am at my lowest, the rewards for both parties are amazing!

Wishing Bright Blessings, Love, Light and Joy to you all, Chessie

SEEKING YOUR OWN LEVEL

                  SEEKING YOUR OWN LEVEL

As humans, we relate to others from our own perceptions. If a person is a thief, they see thievery in everyone around them, likewise, if a person is prone to lying, they assume that everyone lies.

As enlightenment begins to occur and we learn to see things as they truly are, it becomes more and more apparent that we relate to others on our own level. As our vibrations rise and we begin living from a place of love and acceptance, those with whom we associate begins to change. Just as the wheat is separated from the chaff in the wind, those with whom we no longer vibrate leave our sphere of influence. It happens spontaneously and is not something we should be concerned about; the Universe takes care of that.

We ebb and flow just like the tide. Because adult human beings are 70% water, we naturally seek others like ourselves just as water seeks its own level. Even though we are like a drop of water in an ocean (part of all on Earth) we are pulled to a higher calling just as water changes states as it evaporates and rises to become vapor in order to become rain and nourish what is below. As we rise, we too change states so that we are able to nourish those around us. Those who are ready for what we have to offer will soak it up as we act in a worthy manner and vibrate where we are supposed to be. Those who are not ready just won’t get it and move on within their own realm of understanding, this is OK, and this is how enlightenment works.

As we rise higher than those around us, we must be aware that the ego has no place here. If someone gets so wrapped up in their new growth status that they wish others to notice and praise them for it, their growth will stop. Our ego acts like a dam and stops our flow just as water can be stopped. This will lead to frustration and unhappiness, and we will be of no good to ourselves or anyone else. The ancient saying says that “before enlightenment we chop wood and carry water and after enlightenment we chop wood and carry water.” The difference between before and after is that after we truly understand why we are chopping and carrying. We truly understand how our actions; done with understanding teaches and raises those around us. We do our mundane chores with a new joy, with a new humility, with a new feeling of freedom and bliss.

So be like water and seek your own level, wear down obstacles, sweep a clean path, change states as you need to achieve your enlightenment and do it all without ego, with grace, with love and joy.

Projecting Abundance and Gratitude Above the Fear Line

              Projecting Abundance and Gratitude

                        Above the Fear Line

“Because the Universe reflects back to you at the level which you are able to accept, appreciate what you have and project abundance in your emotions, self-talk, your thoughts, and visualization. Remember that emotion is energy in motion and that is what drives all manifestation.” C. S. Roberts

I have had a series of Aha moments over the past few months. Moments that have brought the truth of something I said a while ago (the above quote) and made this concept crystal clear.

Emotions fall into two categories, love or fear. Any emotion that is at or below the ‘fear line’ will drag you down into the depths of stagnation and inactivity. Any emotion above that line will push you up toward happiness, joy and finally into manifestation.

I had, on one level, believed and understood what I was saying but, on a deeper level was missing an important point. As I have stated on many occasions I am, as we all are, works in progress so yay for finally getting it. The whole point is that down in that part of you where only you go, where the tough questions are asked and answered is where the acceptance of this statement needs to truly and gratefully happen. This is where you need to determine that you are no longer ruled by anything at or below the ‘fear line’. Only then will your ‘emotional energy engine’ crank into life and drive the upward motion that will create manifestation.

If you can honestly accept everything you have as a good thing and gratefully rejoice in your abundance with your entire being, you will touch this place within and begin to manifest without. EXAMPLE: your furnace breaks on the coldest day of the year and it is a holiday and guests are coming; how do you react? Let’s face it that would be very upsetting on the surface of things but, since you know about emotions and manifestation, you are truly grateful for the fact that your oven works, that you have space heaters and blankets and that you know that your guests will understand and be just fine with it. You celebrate in joy, love and gratitude. You invite others to celebrate with the same attitude and, by your every thought, emotion and deed you turn the unfortunate happening into an exercise of gratitude for abundance and share that outlook with those around you, thus lifting you and everyone else to a higher vibration. In return you manifest the money you need to fix the furnace, your holiday was exceptional, you taught a valuable lesson without realizing it and your life stays above the ‘fear line’.

I invite you to examine your life as you start this new beginning in 2011 to find your abundance, joy and gratitude. Once you do that share that attitude with as many people as you can and watch your manifestations soar.

Bright Blessings, Chessie
