THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS
THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS IN THE LANGUAGE
©Chessie Roberts 2010 all rights reserved
Do you find yourself becoming argumentative and defensive over the slightest thing? Does it seem to you that others are not getting with your program? Could it be that you are attempting to exercise control over something you can’t or should not be controlling?
If these issues are in your life, you need to learn about the two most powerful words in any language, “Let go.” I f you will ask yourself a few questions you will see very quickly how and where to use these wonderful words.
When you are pressing a point ask if the point is truly important. Will it be important in ten minutes? How about one month? A Year? If the subject is so trivial as to be lost in the next ten minutes, why waste time, energy, and frustration on it in the first place? Let it go. If in a months time the point is not something worth remembering, then why pursue it? See how that works?
Secondly ask yourself why it is important to you to be the ‘winner’ of this particular argument/difference of opinion? Is the subject of the argument important enough to agree to disagree? If not, it is not important enough to argue about in the first place. Remember that everyone has an opinion and rarely are two just alike and that is ok but to have to be correct all of the time about everything (no matter how trivial) sais that there deeper issues of control that need to occupying you time.
As you learn how to let go of the small things and be OK with that, the larger things will be easier to let go of as well. Letting go will de-clutter your life and make the more important things (those truly important) clearer so that you can take care of them in a positive and balanced way.

CHOICES; YOUR KEYS TO EVERYTHING
YOUR KEYS TO EVERYTHING
© 2010 Chessie Roberts,
all rights reserved
Do you know that you are allowed to choose the life you truly want? You are not
bound by the way other people think you should live, think or feel? Of course,
there laws and rules of society that we all must follow but I am speaking here
of your core truths, values and vibrations. These are yours and, though you may
share them with others and mold them to fit the societal constraints around
you, you are allowed to choose to feel, think and vibrate with them as you
will.
Now you can make choices that are not uplifting or good for you but by the same
token you can make the ones that raise your vibrations and take you in
directions that will get you where you truly want to go. These are the ones
that I am addressing here.
Someone said to me a few weeks ago that they are searching for the keys
(choices that will raise their vibrations) to (match) the Universe. I found
this quote from Swami Beyondanada that sums up that thought process; “If you
are looking for the key to the Universe, I’ve got some good news and some bad
news. The bad news is that there is no key; the good news is that it (The
Universe) was never locked.”
All we have
to do is choose to vibrate in the higher vibrations, the ones born from love.
The truth here is that you always attract that which you are a vibrational
match too. Therefore, make choices that come from that field of love and watch
how your vibrations rise and how easy it becomes to make the “right” choices
for you.

HOW DO I SLOW DOWN TO LET MY FRIENDS CATCH UP?
HOW DO I
SLOW DOWN TO LET MY FRIENDS
CATCH UP?
One of the responses that I received to my invitation to ask topic questions
was “How do I slow down so that my friends and family can catch up with my
growth?”
The short answer is that you don’t. Everyone understands and grows at their own
rate. I am sure you have heard the saying that “when the student is ready the
teacher will appear”. Your friends and loved ones may have their “Ah-ha”
moments at different times than you do. That is OK. You must be yourself and
they must be themselves. This is one of those things over which you have no
control and that is OK as well.
If you attempt to stunt your growth to accommodate someone else’s schedule, you
will find quickly that it feels uncomfortable for you. You may find that you
are frustrated, angry or there may be some pain involved. All of these fear-based
feelings occur because you are denying yourself who and what you are becoming.
Learning is why you are on this path in the first place, right?
Now if you choose to keep this (these people) person in your life, focus on
what you love about them rather than what you don’t. If you focus on the
negatives and differences, you will find that this is where your discomfort
starts.
Focusing on what you love about them will allow your vibrations to continue to
rise and spontaneously, theirs will too. Now I’m not telling you to grab their
hand and haul them up there with you, the love and the Universe will take care
of all of that. If you try, you will be right back at the beginning of the
question.
See your
growth as an opportunity to share your knowledge and opinions with others while
allowing them to share their knowledge and opinions with you. Their opinions
and knowledge may be different, but you can still learn from them if you choose
to allow yourself to listen.
If your friends are uncomfortable around you then that is their issue, not
yours. Your issue is your growth. So…give yourself, your friends and loved one’s
space and the freedom to just Be. You will see that it all works out just as it
is meant to in the end. It is OK to outgrow people and have them out grow you,
but by the same process, you will be growing up toward others, that is how we
learn and become what we are to become.

Why Make A Resolution?
Why Make A Resolution?
© Chessie Roberts 2010, EOS Used by
permission
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become
actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for
they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.” -
Tom Krause
A resolution is usually made in the heat of the moment without much thought. It
is usually made as a lofty proclamation without expectation of achievement.
Because of these circumstances, they are doomed to fail, and…they do; leaving
the maker with a sense of failure or a “see, I told you so” mind set.
I used to be one of those people until I decided just never make resolutions
again. Guess what? I was able to keep that one. In reality a resolution is just
another way to set a goal for yourself. They should be made the same way we set
any other goal. We aren’t usually taught how to do that so here are some guide
lines.
1) Goals are good to have because they let us see that we are progressing in
the direction we feel we want to go.
2) They give us a time frame in which to work so we know when to push or hold
back.
3) Set something for yourself that you truly believe you can accomplish. Be
kind to you and start gently if you are new at this.
4) Set a realistic time frame, remember; Rome wasn’t built in a day.
5) Review your desired outcome to see just what the baby steps are that will
get you the desired outcome.
a) Are they easier to reach?
b) Will the time frame for each step be more acceptable to you?
c) Will your reward for the achievement of each step help you move on to the
next one?
Baby step goals are usually the best way to go because you don't get
discouraged and quit. If you shoot straight for the whole thing at once,
chances are you will either not recognize it when you get there or stop just
before success.
You will find that by following these few steps toward creating something truly
worthwhile to you, you will start your year out with a sense of accomplishment
that will set the tone for a purposeful and prosperous year. Happy 2010 everyone.
Bright
Blessings. Chessie
