THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS
THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS IN THE LANGUAGE
©Chessie Roberts 2010 all rights reserved
Do you find yourself becoming argumentative and defensive over the slightest thing? Does it seem to you that others are not getting with your program? Could it be that you are attempting to exercise control over something you can’t or should not be controlling?
If these issues are in your life, you need to learn about the two most powerful words in any language, “Let go.” I f you will ask yourself a few questions you will see very quickly how and where to use these wonderful words.
When you are pressing a point ask if the point is truly important. Will it be important in ten minutes? How about one month? A Year? If the subject is so trivial as to be lost in the next ten minutes, why waste time, energy, and frustration on it in the first place? Let it go. If in a months time the point is not something worth remembering, then why pursue it? See how that works?
Secondly ask yourself why it is important to you to be the ‘winner’ of this particular argument/difference of opinion? Is the subject of the argument important enough to agree to disagree? If not, it is not important enough to argue about in the first place. Remember that everyone has an opinion and rarely are two just alike and that is ok but to have to be correct all of the time about everything (no matter how trivial) sais that there deeper issues of control that need to occupying you time.
As you learn how to let go of the small things and be OK with that, the larger things will be easier to let go of as well. Letting go will de-clutter your life and make the more important things (those truly important) clearer so that you can take care of them in a positive and balanced way.

THE 2012 SHIFT; WHAT’S GOING ON? MY TWO CENTS WORTH
THE 2012 SHIFT; WHAT’S GOING ON? MY TWO CENTS WORTH
“Such is the state of life, that none are happy but by the anticipation of change; the change itself is nothing; when we have made it, the next wish is to change again. The world is not yet exhausted; let me see something tomorrow which I never saw be.” (Samuel Johnson, English poet, critic and writer)
“Fear is pain arising from the anticipation of evil.” (Aristotle, ancient Greek philosopher)
I get asked about this 2012 shift all of the time. I have done extensive reading about and listening to different ideas about this most interesting subject and have seen every thing from aliens coming to help/take over to the total end of everything BUT… I have the feeling that it is something else.
Maybe this is just the next stage of life. Maybe it is our wake up call to become more in tune with the planet on which we depend for ABSOUTLEY EVERYTHING and with each other. If we are not in vibrational harmony with either ourselves as the human animal and the other life forms that share our home, and we systematically destroy where we are living, something will change (probably not for the better). The planet, our home, is a living, breathing, changing being. It is older that we are and has existed in harmony with itself for a long time. Then we come along and start ‘improving’ things to our supposed benefit. Think about the building in which you live; if you don’t maintain it, vibrate with it, love it what happens? OK now taking that one step further, if you were actively tearing down the walls to build something else, using its resources to the detriment of the structure and foundation, how long would you have a place to live? Well, what have we done to our sustaining earth?
If we are not in vibrational harmony with the energies around us we will continue to rape and deconstruct our very habitat, as we’ve already done that to species after species, and are now doing to ourselves, causing us be blindsided by any change that happens. Everything is energy and so is constantly moving, changing, ebbing and flowing. If you try to not be in this energy flow, to stop it, hold it in stasis, to be out of harmony with it you live in chaos, pain and confusion and quite possibly destruction within both your world and your personal energy field(s).
OK, fine, what can we do to ‘go with the flow’? Have you ever heard of the “7Ps”? It is a business term I learned many years ago that seems appropriate here. “Proper Prior Preparation Prevents Piss-Poor Performance.” So, 1) tune into the energies around and within you. Do everything you can to live ‘green’ It may be too little too late but if we don’t start, nothing will be accomplished. Recycle, reduce, support appropriate legislature etc. 2) Get ready. Develop your conscious awareness and have a real, solid belief system. Plant, nourish both yourself and your planet. 3) Cleanse your self, energetically and spiritually. Connect with your light body. Live cleanly with a lowered impact on the earth. How long can you stand to be abused? Then why ask it of your home? 4) Integrate your body, mind and spirit and awareness, and 5) Rid yourself of fear, all of it. Don’t anticipate bad things; step out in love and trust.
In actuality the shift has already started and there are those among us who have been charged by their Guidance to become the light workers, guides, gatekeepers, and spiritual leaders (notice I did not say religious) to step into the role of beacons to show the way. The ones who have been saying, “Wake up and see how we are abusing our resources!” were some of the first and for the most part, we didn’t listen, maybe now is a good time?
Now this is a fact that I find most wonderful; Conscious Awareness of the shift is spontaneously happening and growing. As more and more of us wake up and reconnect to Source energy (the energy of the divine, soul to soul, life to planet) we are creating a harmonic resonance that spreads across the planet and universe. People are trying harder to work with rather than against Nature. Because like attracts like, this new resonance pulls the shifting energy closer to the enlightened who are raising their vibrations higher and faster in order to meet and join with the new energy. Blending our personal vibrations with what is changing, vibrating over, under, around and through our existence and our planet, we find that, much like floating down a river, we become one with the change. If on the other hand we choose to fight against the energetic flow, we will find the disastrous results that we were afraid of in the first place. (Because of lower, fear-filled vibrations that do not fit within the shift)
When we change our thoughts, perceptions, attitudes and open ourselves to new patterns, information and ways of thinking about what we encounter daily, we begin to change, become aware of damage that we create both to ourselves and our earth. Things around us begin to change. We become more and more aware of the things that raise us, enlighten us, feed us and lift us to what some call unconditional love; the love of the forth chakra; the love that unites all things with all things; the love which is Source Energy. This is the energy that is shifting and so, by vibrating with it, we shift too, easily, effortlessly, spontaneously; all without fear, resistance or catastrophe.
As I close I leave you with enlightenment, raised vibrations, new awareness, love and bright blessings. Chessie

THE 2012 SHIFT; WHAT’S GOING ON?
MY TWO CENTS WORTH
“Such is

“Fear is

I get asked
about this 2012 shift all of the time. I have done extensive reading about and

The planet,
our home, is a living, breathing, changing being. It is older than we are and

start ‘improving’ things to our supposed benefit. Think about the building in
which you live; if you don’t maintain it, vibrate with it, love it, what

Everything

the destruction within both your world and your personal energy field(s).
OK, fine,
what can we do to ‘go with the flow’? Have you ever heard of the “7Ps”? It is a
business term I learned many years ago that seems appropriate here. “Proper

Therefore,
1) tune into the energies around and within you. Do everything you can to live
‘green’ It may be too little too late but if we don’t start, nothing will be

2) Get

Plant, nourish both yourself and your planet.
3) Cleanse yourself,
energetically and spiritually. Connect with your light body. Live cleanly with
a lower impact on the earth. How long can you stand to be abused? Then why ask
it of your home?
4) Integrate
your body, mind and spirit and awareness, and
5) Rid

universe. People are trying harder to work with rather than against Nature.
Because like
attracts like, this new resonance pulls the shifting energy closer to the
enlightened who are raising their vibrations higher and faster in order to meet
and join with the new energy. Blending our personal vibrations with what is
changing, vibrating over, under, around and through our existence and our

change, become aware of damage that we create both to ourselves and our earth.
Things around us begin to change. We become more and more aware of the things
that raise us, enlighten us, feed us and lift us to what some call
unconditional love; the love of the fourth chakra; the love that unites all
things with all things; the love which is Source Energy. This is the energy
that is shifting and so, by vibrating with it, we shift too, easily,

ADVERSITY
ADVERSITY
Adversity, what is it to you? Some feel that is just bad luck, some think it is
just something that needs to be lived with and so it is their way of life. To
some, it’s what they feel they deserve and for others it is something
unpleasant that happens to people that they neither know nor care about so is
not their concern.
It is, for
some, something to run from; it has been defined as problems, pain, suffering,
and wounds. There are those who see it as a reason to be the victim and garner
sympathy or a good reason to be miserable; some people just like to wallow in
it.
Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Trouble (adversity) creates a capacity to
handle it.” This is true because adversity is actually your life lesson,
your curriculum for learning to create the whole, balanced, productive,
prosperous and abundant life that you deserve.
If you feel you have it bad and wait around for worse to happen, and it will if
you are waiting for it, you will find that “bad” looked pretty good. This is
the thought process of a good 95% of the population. By investing the time to
read and think about changing your thoughts to a more positive vein, you will have
moved into the 5% that have chosen to change their thought process for the
better. It has been proven that when you change what you think about, what you
think about changes and that process also changes the way you act. For
instance, M. Kathleen Casey said that “Pain is inevitable, but suffering is
optional.” It is all in how you think about it.
So I challenge you to turn your thoughts and feelings around so that you do
indeed change the way you think, so that what you think about changes. When you
accomplish this, you will find that your life will start to become exactly what
you truly want and you will begin to receive the best of everything that you
deserve.

CHAKRA FOUR
THE HEART CHAKRA
This week brings us to chakra four; located at your cardiac plexus nerve
ganglion. Just as this allows your physical heart to nourish your body, the
heart chakra feeds your energetic and spiritual heart.
The elemental correspondence here is air because of the movement from the
physicality and manifestation of the lower chakras into the more esoteric areas
of spirit. This is the mid-point in the chakra system where the lower three
chakras become tempered and balanced by chakra four as they get ready to join
the upper three and a feeling of wholeness and balance begins to appear.
Picture an upward pointing triangle (▲) with the points numbered 1, 2,
& 3. Then picture a downward pointing triangle (▼) with its’ points numbered 5, 6, & 7. See
them laid one over the other to form a star and the number 4 right in the
middle. This represents balance that will, when tempered by the love in chakra
four, create a radiance that shines out to all things. This unconditional love
creates a permanence that magnifies that love to permeate all existence.
The color that vibrates with this chakra is green and the Sanskrit word for it
means, ‘sound made without any two things striking / un-struck/ pure/ fresh/
clean.
The job of your heart chakra is to create the binding force of love. This comes
from the logical progression of mass @ 1 + the movement @ 2, acted upon by the
attraction @ 3 = a love driven by free, joyous acceptance of yourself and all
around you. This love does NOT come from a place of need, want, or
manipulation. This love, when you move in harmony with it, gives you the
ability to let others grow at their own rate, to reach out to another without losing
your center. You begin to feel that sense of wholeness and balance that you are
looking for. You lose the desire to judge others by YOUR standards, and you are
able to see all things as your “next best thing”.
I was
recently faced with the possibility of having to deal with cancer. I must admit
that I was terrified by the prospect and spent a day or two in abject terror. I
finally decided that I would have to turn off the fear somehow or have the
heinous thing manifest. I fell back on this EOS that I trained for years to
create for my answers and during a meditation session I was reminded of the
fact that this was “my next best thing.” I decided to see this as an
opportunity. If I did have the illness, I could then help others to deal with
their circumstance better, so it was “my next best thing”. If I did not have
cancer, I could use the anticipation, fear, and experience to help others to
see their way through the fear and worry stage. I could also use the experience
to teach this portion of this class and again, it was “my next best thing”. The
second I made that decision, my fear vanished like I had flipped a switch, and
it has indeed been “my next best thing.”
When you are out of balance here you may come across as judgmental or
manipulative, control of others is very important and truth is subjugated to
YOUR idea of what YOU feel it should be.
Let’s face it, you can’t really know anyone but yourself, so by taking
everything less seriously, you can be yourself without letting another take
your power. You are also able to see the difference in controlling yourself and
NOT controlling others.
Balance means that you can temper the lower chakras with love and begin seeing
change in wonderful ways. You know you are in balance when you no longer feel
the pull of the lower chakras and realize that you do, indeed, create your own
reality and you can influence others.
The goals here are to find unconditional love for yourself and others, be able
to exercise tolerance and balance within your body, mind, spirit, to realize
the Devine Paradox that something that seems small is, in reality very large
and the thing that seems very large is actually very small. (If you don’t get what
I mean, talk to a teenaged girl about the drama in her life::smile:J ) and to find the ability to allow
things to be what they are.
RECAP CHAKRA FOUR:
1) located at your heart;
2) It is your bridge between your imminent, transcendent spirit and love;
3) Your ability to share love and life with yourself and others.
PHYSICALITY: circulatory system, hands, arms and shoulders
ISSUES: consideration and empathy for others; the link between your
intellectual and spiritual selves; your ability to direct love to yourself and
others and your inner peace.
BLOCKED BY: Grief
UNBLOCKED BY: Accepting the fact that love is energy; it is all around you and
is always born again as new loves.

CHAKRA THREE, SOLAR PLEXUS/NAVEL
This week brings us to Chakra three which is located between your sternum and
navel. This is your solar plexus region, the seat of your will and this area
deals with combustion and metabolism.
The elemental correspondence here is fire. The equation is matter (chakra 1) +
movement (chakra2) + action, energy (chakra 3) = power (a new state.
The color that vibrates here is yellow and the Sanskrit word for this area
means ‘lustrous gem’
Chakra three’s job is to develop your ability to stand by your own convictions
and your ability to forge unique states of existence. When the qualities of
chakra one combine with those of chakra two and are acted upon by the
transforming qualities of chakra three your energies are raised into new
dimensions which cause change within the thing (your body) itself. Very like
wood (matter) is acted on by movement (heat) converts the matter to energy
which creates the change into the new state of ash. In the chakra system the
‘ash’ is the raised energy that carries you to those new dimensions that I
mentioned before.
Here is where your inner critic will sound off and will lower your self-confidence
if you have any issues with your self-worth or self-reliance. This is the seat
of your personal power and who or what is holding it; ideally, it should be
you. This is also where your focus begins to change so that you are open to
others’ points of view and opinions’. You develop a willingness to reexamine
your concepts of power and begin to see the difference in ‘the power to’ and
‘the power over’.
When you are out of balance in this chakra you will be overly sensitive to the
perceived reactions of others, you may appear indifferent or cold. You will
find that you feel the need for the opinions of others to support your ideas
and you will be over critical of yourself. You may feel inadequate and unworthy
of love. You may even suffer from self-loathing.
Remember that your inner self is much like a child; it believes all things both
negative and positive because it has no filters. With no filters your body will
react instantaneously. (Much like when you are frightened by what you think is
a bug or snake only to realize that it was only a fuzzy or the garden hose)
therefore taking all criticism to heart is not a good idea.
When you are in balance in your third chakra you are able to accept the
responsibilities (and only those) that are truly yours. You are confident in
your own actions and abilities. You can choose and maintain your course of
action without the approval of others. You have the courage and strength to be
who you truly are and are able to act without overpowering others or allowing
them to overpower you.
You will know for a fact that you are in balance when you can take
responsibility for yourself without feeling the need to blame others or act and
think like a victim.
The goals of the third chakra are to create new understanding of the viewpoints
and opinions of others; your ability to collect new information that equals
dawning enlightenment and shifting paradigms; to learn the importance of
balance; becoming aware of larger, Universal patterns; your conscious combining
of your mind and actions to drive your choices and create your will so that you
recognize where you have undesired actions in your life and you can stop them
and make better choices, ones more worthy of you and where you want your life
to be.
RECAP OF CHAKRA THREE;
1) Between your sternum and navel
2) Is your solar power, your uniqueness, your “I AM”
3) Is the seat of your will
Physicality; Your digestive system, Middle spine, Muscles
Issues; Personal power; who is holding yours (should be you), Your sense of
place in the world, Your self-confidence and self-esteem, Your ability to stand
by your convictions
Blocked by; shame and disappointment in yourself
Unblocked by; accepting your shortcomings and forgiving yourself

YOUR ROOT CHAKRA
Chakra one is located at the base of your spine and corresponds to your coccyx
bone and the lowest nerve bundle in your biology.
Each chakra has an elemental correspondence and the one for this area is Earth.
Earth represents your form, stability, your most condensed state of matter.
This makes it ideal for the lowest (not the least important) end of the chakra
spectrum.
This chakra is visualized in a deep, vibrant red. This is the color of the
beginnings and life. Red is also the longest wavelength and the slowest
vibration in the human spectrum of sight. The Sanskrit name for this area means
‘root’ or ‘support’ which is just what it is.
Its’ job is to be the first line of support in your energy support system. Here
is where your sciatic nerve is located. It is the largest and longest
peripheral nerve in your body, and it is this that keeps your connection to the
sustaining Earth.
This is where your survival impulses connect; where needs such as food,
shelter, clothing and physical health arise. Your survival energies (just like
everything else) must be balanced and directed in a healthy way so as not to
dominate your every moment.
When this base is under stimulated, you can become consumed by fears of losing
food, clothing and/or shelter. This fear will cause loss of health in your
physical body. You can become stuck here, creating a self-defeating spiral that
is detrimental to your growth in any direction and your health on all levels.
This will create a loop of unresolved conflicts in your system leading to an
ever downward spiral with the feeling that you have no control. You will
develop what I call the ‘Eeyore Syndrome’ causing you to lose friends, lose
your support. Then lose yourself to ‘victim think’.
When this base chakra is over stimulated you become attached to things in the
physical world. This is where pack rat/hoarders, shop-a-holics and the need to
‘keep up with the Joneses’ comes from. If any of this sounds or feels familiar
you may want to do a little work here.
You know you’re balanced when all your needs are comfortably met; if your
physicality has no issues with survival and you have no nagging feeling that
‘something is wrong with you’. It is never too late to reassess and to create
changes and grow toward betterment.
Your body is the home of your spirit so it must be balanced in all areas. You
must be consciously aware of what is going on inside. Remember, the physical
world is not your goal, it is just a tool to help you learn what lessons you
have been put here to learn. Lessons that will lead to you raising your
spirituality and rejoining you body mind and spirit to achieve the balance that
you are striving for.
RECAP OF CHAKRA ONE
1) Root, base
2) Is your connection to spirit
3) Being at home on the Earth
4) Security
5) Survival
Physicality; controls your spine and base, feet immune system and skeleton
Issues; survival, instincts (i.e. Work family, health, trust, nourishment,
fitness.)
Blocked by; fear
Unblocked by; surrendering all your fears to the flow of Universal energy.

MIND, BODY, SPIRIT BALANCE; WHATS’ THE TIE IN?
WHAT’S THE TIE IN?
So far in this blog
series, I have talked about the body and a lot about the mind as well as a bit
about spirit. I have even addressed balance, but what ties them together? What
is the core that makes this a functioning, cyclical and renewing system? The
answer is our energetic spine.
Just as the spine in our physical body carries the nerves and vessels that
nourish and inform our physicality and mind so that we are functioning as well
as possible, our energetic spine creates the conduit that connects spirit with
biology so that we are linked in a balanced way. For this conversation we will
refer to the energetic spine as our chakra (say chock- rah) system.
For the sake of keeping things in an understandable order, I will start at the
bottom and work upward. I want to say before I get started that in working with
the chakra system you will find that the learning and function will not be
linear. While each chakra builds upon the ones under it, as well as depends on
the ones above it, the “Ah-ha moments” that will occur during your studies will
cause you to revisit chakras that you thought you were finished with. This
re-visitation is a normal process and function of living, learning, gaining
wisdom, and growing, so don’t let it throw you. As you progress through each
level of your chakra system, you will have more and more of these insights that
will lead to more growth, learning and sharing.
As I have told you before, Evolution of Self; Journey into Mind, Body, Spirit
Balance is an experiential processes that uses many different philosophies and
this is only one of them. I feel that you will benefit a great deal from a
better understanding of how you work as a whole. Your body and mind need spiritual
connection in order to create the balance that is required for a balanced,
whole, happy life style. The following chakra blogs will just brush the surface
of each level, the classes go deeper, but there is usable information that will
benefit you.
Next week I will address chakra 1. Until then,

YOU ARE DENIED NOTHING, EVER!
YOU ARE DENIED NOTHING, EVER!
What makes you angry, sad, miserable, jealous, ashamed, guilty? How about
indifferent, vengeful, disdainful, demanding, hopeless or apathetic? Know that
all of these emotions come from the fear end of your emotional spectrum.
Each and every one of these emotions does several things to you,
1) they make
you ill on some level of your being,
2) they lower your spiritual vibrations so
that you are farther and farther from your source which will make it harder for
you to get back up there, and
3) they will
bring down everyone around you until you are surrounded by those who like it
down there or
4) you will
have no support at all. And
5) YOU WILL
GET MORE OF WHAT IS BOTHERING YOU.
The reason for this is that the Universe has no filters. It hears/feels your
emotions and gives you more of whatever your emotions are putting out there.
So, you ask, “How do I turn this around?”
You start by changing your emotional response to everything. Don’t panic, you
can do this. Begin by looking for things, anything, that make your emotions
respond from the love end of the spectrum. What makes you feel loving,
merciful, at peace, satisfied, joyous, blissful, understanding or forgiving?
How about illuminated, serene, or optimistic? All of these come from the love
end of the spectrum and they raise your vibrations up to meet the Universe, and
it responds to them too. The difference is in what you receive, MORE OF WHAT
YOU DO WANT.
Which way do you want your life to go; up or down; into love or fear; into want
and need or abundance and prosperity? The choice is yours to make. Remember,
you are denied nothing, ever, all you need to do if ask/feel.

DON’T SUFFER OVER YOUR OWN SUFFERING
When I lived in California, I studied Siddha Yoga under a very lovely Guru
named Gurumayi Chidvilasananda and one of her teachings was to “not suffer over
your own suffering.” The long and short of it is to stop wallowing.
One of the foibles of humanity is that we can and do get caught up in our own
problems, angsts and importance. If something goes wrong in our little sphere
of life it can become the most heinous thing going on. If you aren’t sure
exactly what I mean, talk to a teenaged girl and all will become clear.
Sure, things happen that make us angry and feel like asking “why me?!” but let
it be known that those things happen to everyone at some time or another as
well as by one degree or another. Usually, once they are over, you realize that
the event wasn’t really all that important in the grand scheme of things. When
we suffer over what we feel is going wrong in life, the emotions that creates will
overpower our ability to see the good that is always there, thus lowering our
overall vibration and that is detrimental to us. (Not to mention the people
around us)
To recognize that we are wallowing is to be able to stop. In Evolution of Self;
Journey into Mind, Body, Spirit Balance, we learn that sometimes we need to
wallow or be angry, but we find that it is exhausting to do it for very long.
(because it lowers our vibrations)
But, when it
feels necessary to go through a tantrum, set a timer for no more than 15
minutes and wallow or stomp around as much as you like. (do this in private)
When the timer goes off…STOP. Regain your composure and start again. It works
every time. You get your frustration out without making yourself look or feel
foolish and then get on with your life in a more positive, clear headed, life
affirming manner.
Learning to recognize wallowing for what it is gives a very powerful tool to
get us to our goal of wholeness. Bright Blessings, Chessie

YOU CAN’T STAND IN THE SAME RIVER TWICE
YOU CAN’T STAND IN THE SAME RIVER TWICE
Because the rivers’ water is constantly moving, it is constantly new at any
given point. Stand in the water and watch as it swirls and flows around your
legs. You may be standing in the same place but the water that you initially
stepped into is gone. It has been replaced with new, different water. You may
be the same, but the river is not.
I have found that change is inevitable no matter who you are nor what your
belief system. As your life is the river in question you either grow with it,
or you do not. Learning what still works for you and keeping it, as well as
what does not and letting it go, so that you have room to grow allows you to
keep up with your river.
Growth is better than stagnation. Growth gives you new opportunities, new
friends, new experiences and new ways to share with others. Stagnation gives
you pain, frustration, illness, and a wasted life.
When you look back at the river of your life what do you want to see in its’
wake? Growth and opportunity taken and applied or regret and remorse? Here’s to
every one’s river, free flowing, ever changing and ever giving to all you meet.

THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS
THE TWO MOST
POWERFUL WORDS IN THE LANGUAGE
©Chessie Roberts 2010
all rights reserved
Do you find yourself becoming argumentative and defensive over the slightest
thing? Does it seem to you that others are not getting with your program? Could
it be that you are attempting to exercise control over something you can’t or
should not be controlling?
If these issues are in your life, you need to learn about the two most powerful
words in any language, “Let go.” I f you will ask yourself a few questions you
will see very quickly how and where to use these wonderful words.
When you are pressing a point ask if the point is truly important. Will it be
important in ten minutes? How about one month? A Year? If the subject is so
trivial as to be lost in the next ten minutes, why waste time, energy, and
frustration on it in the first place? Let it go. If in a months’ time the point
is not something worth remembering, then why pursue it? See how that works?
Secondly ask yourself why it is important to you to be the ‘winner’ of this
particular argument/difference of opinion? Is the subject of the argument
important enough to agree to disagree? If not, it is not important enough to
argue about in the first place. Remember that everyone has an opinion and
rarely are two just alike and that is ok but to have to be correct all of the
time about everything (no matter how trivial) sais that there deeper issues of
control that need to occupying you time.
As you learn how to let go of the small things and be OK with that, the larger
things will be easier to let go of as well. Letting go will de-clutter your
life and make the more important things (those truly important) clearer so that
you can take care of them in a positive and balanced way.

WHEN YOU CHANGE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT
WHEN YOU CHANGE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT
WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT CHANGES
© Chessie Roberts 2010, all

Do you find yourself
having conversations with your ‘self’ about what you should have done or said
in any given circumstance? How about what you think SHOULD have happened or how
you SHOULD have reacted to fill in the blank?
When we talk to ourselves, we call it thinking but what we are really doing is
actually talking to “self” about something that is bothering us. It can be anything,
a disturbing incident, an angry encounter, a close call. You notice that I
didn’t list anything ‘good’ here. That is because, as people, we don’t usually
rehash the good, just the bad.
The worse
the trauma, the more we go through it in our heads later. We grind on it,
rewriting the scenario over and over again. Most of the time, within our
rewrite, we come out the clever hero, besting our antagonist and making them
feel as bad as we did in the original incident.
The reason
for this is that’s how we handled this type of thing when we were children. A
little person will tell you the same tale of trauma until you feel that you
can’t stand to hear it again but, that is how they ‘talk themselves down’.
As we mature, we learn to keep most of these things to ourselves, but they do
have a tendency to pop out somewhere else if we are not vigilant. One of the
ways; as we mature into more positive people, we can handle this process is to
change what we are thinking about. We do this by learning proper self-talk.
I.e. writing a better script in our heads.
The way to start the re-write is to go for the positive in all of your daily
encounters. Look at whatever is going on (in ANY situation) and ask yourself,
“What makes this situation positive?” (I keep that sign hanging right by my
computer so that I don’t forget). Next, ask yourself “What are my assets?”
These two questions will change the focus of your thoughts to a more positive
slant.
The other thing that you can do to get your thoughts moving in a positive
direction is to keep a journal with you at all times (just until you get used
to thinking this way). Every time you come up with a less than desirable
thought, write it down. If you can change it to a positive statement at the time,
go, ahead and do it, if not, wait until you have some quiet time and refer back
to your notes. Then rewrite the statement in the proper positive language.
EXAMPLE:
“That stupid jerk nearly ran me off the road! I wonder where he got his driver’s
license, Hasbro.” CORRECTION: “I am so glad he missed me, I hope he gets where
he is going safely.”
It might sound a bit corny, but it really does work. As you begin to change
your inner vocabulary, your thoughts will turn toward a more positive flow.
This flow will, in turn, change what occupies your mind. As that focus changes
you will find that your vibrations rise and, consequently, your life will flow
better as well because, when you change what you think about, what you think
about changes.

Invation to all followers of Evolution of Self; Journey into Body,Mind,Spirit Balance
Dear Readers (if you will permit me to borrow the phrase), I have been talking
to you about all sorts of topics in these blogs. I thought that you may have
topics you would like to see covered. Here is your chance to tell me what you
want to read about.
Some of you are new to Evolution of Self; Journey into Body, Mind, Spirit
Balance so here is a brief overview. This is a program that helps anyone who
wishes to participate to regain their balance in these three areas. I created
it in an effort to heal myself and found that others wanted to know and
understand what I had done.
The program covers
1) Your
birthright; the information with you were born and what became of it.
2) Centering
which is about pulling yourself together to clear an inner pathway for your
energy to travel.
3) Grounding
yourself to the Earth that is your energetic source.
4) How to
create a calm mindset to help you stay focused and less stressed.
5) The
proper way to speak to yourself without judgment or criticism.
6) How to
visualize what you truly want.
7-13) How to
tap into each internal energy center and make it more efficient for you.
Let me know what you would like to read more about and I will address each
topic in order of its demand. You may email me at chessrob05@gmail.com, post a
message or go to the discussions tab on Facebook or comment at this blog site.
I check all of them regularly. Bright Blessings, Chessie

PART TWO, FEAR, IT IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF
PART TWO, FEAR
IT IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF
© Chessie Roberts 2010 all

“Your mind is the most marvelous bio-computer ever created. It does not deal
with vague ideas; it is activated by specifics.” Denis Waitley
I asked you last time where your power is, who/what is controlling it. Listen
to the words you use when you think or talk about what you are holding fear
about. Do you say things like “I can’t…”, “I hope…”, “What if…”, “That is
horrible…”, “It’s not my fault…” or “That is a problem…”? I tell you now that
you are using vocabulary that feeds your fear and destroys your power/strength
to attempt to grow.
Yes, for those
of you who have taken levels 1 and 2, this goes back to proper self-talk. By
changing your verbiage, you begin to change your attitude, your focus and your
emotions about what you feel you want to do.
Try these words instead; forget “I won’t…” Because won’t implies that you have chosen to
use your power not to do something, rather than meekly give in to circumstances
beyond your control. Your subconscious hears it as “I’m weak” so you will be. As
an alternative, try using, “I choose to…” and see/feel the difference.
Try changing ‘hope’ to; know. Hope tells your subconscious that there is a good
chance that whatever you want will not manifest, i.e., “I hope I can go home
for the holidays”. Now changing the one word, “I know I can go home…” puts your
power back into your hands.
“What if’ gives the Universe your permission to walk all over you. It tells
your subconscious that you are completely out of control. Because it is a vague
and wishy-washy statement, it is also a waste of your energy. Don’t use it at
all.
“That is horrible” can be replaced with the thought that whatever it is can be
a challenge, and opportunity to help someone or to grow.
The “it’s not my fault” is a cop-out. If it is yours, own it. This is extremely
empowering. It makes you the powerful person you want to be, not the victim. If
you take responsibility for your life and what goes on in it you have the power
to change things for the better.
The change of the word ‘problem’ to the word ‘opportunity’ opens your mindset
to one that stretches to embrace the growth that will enable you to become the
person you want to become.
You can also
get great results by changing the words fear, scared, anxious or nervous to
words like excitement, anticipation, and the phrase ‘looking forward to’. These
changes take a while to penetrate but are well worth the work.
As you change to a more powerful vocabulary, your thought processes will
follow. This will change how you see yourself, thus changing how others see
you, making your self-confidence grow and fear diminish. This will create the
ability for you to handle more things that are outside your normal comfort zone
and that leads to awesome opportunities for you to enjoy.
Until next week; Bright Blessings. Chessie
