How to Make the Whole World Come Together

                 The Whole World Came Together

A young mother was ready for a few minutes of relaxation after a long and demanding day. However, her young daughter had other plans for her mother's time.

'Read me a story, Mom,' the little girl requested.

'Give Mommy a few minutes to relax and unwind. Then I'll be happy to read you a story,' pleaded the mother.

The little girl was insistent that Mommy read to her now. With a stroke of genius, the mother tore off the back page of the magazine she was reading. It contained a full-page picture of the world.

As she tore it into several pieces, Mom asked her daughter to put the picture together and then she would read her a story. Surely this would buy her some relaxing moments.

A short time later, the little girl announced the completion of her puzzle project. To her mother's astonishment, the world picture was completely
assembled.

When she asked her daughter how she managed to do it so quickly, the little girl explained that on the reverse side of the page was the picture of a little girl.

'You see, Mommy!' she said, 'When I got the little girl together, the whole world came together!'(Author Unknown)

I challenge you to put yourself together; to find your balance and wholeness. As you do this you make an example of yourself to those around you and soon the ripple effect will circle the planet. Not possible you say? Why not I ask, how do you think change occurs in the first place, after all you are the change you want to see in the world, right? Remember that the only limits you have are the ones YOU place upon yourself. Growth and Bright Blessings to you all! C. S. Roberts

WHAT SHOULD I SAY WHEN I TALK TO MYSELF?

WHAT SHOULD I SAY WHEN I TALK TO MYSELF?

What you should say to yourself depends entirely upon what you wish to achieve. It is said in many places that “where your attention goes, energy flows” and that “like attracts like.” That should give you strong guidelines for your self-talk

First, what do you desire? You must first truly and intensely wish to achieve something definite. It does not matter what it is, money, a new home, a job either new or a different one, a vacation, a mate…anything. As you desire (notice I did not say want) whatever it is you put your energy in that direction; and  your mind becomes saturated with whatever it is so that you can feel you already have it, Nature begins to assist you. How? We don’t really know, She just does and it works. I caution you here that this also works for things you feel you don’t desire as well.

If you put your energy into thinking about everything you do not wish to have you just bring more of it in to your life. Confused yet? Ok think about this for a minute. Someone said to me the other day, “I am so worried about my daughter! She is having a baby, and I am afraid for her!” I asked why, what was wrong with the daughter and her unborn child. “Oh nothing,” the woman said, “it’s just that I had trouble giving birth and I just know she will too, so I am worried sick.” Do you see what this person is doing? With her worry, she is creating an unpleasant and possibly dangerous and life-threatening situation for everyone involved.

How could she turn that around? By putting her fears aside and being genuinely grateful for her daughter and new grandchild. Being confident and appreciative for the Drs and their skill and surrounding her daughter with positive loving and supportive energy. This thought process will not only help the daughter, the baby, everyone on the hospital team but it will help her too. See how it works?

I know you have heard about creating a self-fulfilling prophecy and that is what you do when you talk/think to yourself. It is your choice to create the situation you really desire or the other one (the situation you don’t want).

Speaking positively and kindly to yourself is a new way to think when you first start out and it does take some practice but once you get the hang of it, it’s not so hard.

1) Look for the good in things rather than what annoys you.

2) Find beauty in your surroundings and enjoy it.

3) Be grateful for everything you already have and

4) get rid of what you have that you don’t use. Make room for what you really desire.

5) Choose your words/thoughts carefully and with conscious awareness so that they are worthy of you and see how much better your outcomes are.

ENERGETIC “SEEING”

                          ENERGETIC “SEEING”

                         My Journey of Awakening

                                     Perceptions

“By seeing everything around me as exquisitely beautiful,
By hearing every sound as the most beautiful of music,
By feeling every rhythm as the very heartbeat of life,
My habitual perceptions of the world will change,
Transform and I will move beyond the outward surface of all things around me and truly connect with what is “the source”, the “I AM”.”

We can all see the beauty of Nature but today I experienced feeling the energy of beauty. I was struck by the depth at which I was affected and by the length of time the feeling stayed with me.

When we see with our eyes, we register whatever it was the caught our attention and then it’s gone. Yes, we can call it up in our memory and that is good, but this is different, deeper, fuller, more whole, if you will. But to allow the energy of beauty to penetrate you is a remarkable sensation.

As the energy of beauty joined with my personal, familiar energy they seemed to join to form a new energy; one of stillness and peace, very much like a point of crystal clarity and total acceptance, integration and peace.

This totally new concept of energy, calm and peace has stayed with me and expanded to encompass everything that I have come in contact with. I feel that this peaceful center is what I have searched for all my life and I can hardly wait to see what the next level will be.

Bright Blessings and Energetic Seeing to all of you,
Chessie

                      ON GROWING SLEEP

Getting to sleep has become a large problem in our society. We are too busy fighting with the weeds of our day to slow down and plant the proper seeds for relaxation in our daily garden of “doing things” and then wonder why sleep eludes us. Sleep is what our body uses as our time for healing and restoration.

We should be sleeping for about 1/3rd of our lives. Deep, good quality sleep allows our natural pharmacopeia to release the chemicals inherent in us that keep us operating at peak efficiency. Without the proper amount and types of sleep, we become fuzzy brained, scattered, tired and ill. Now some of you would argue that there are pills to help with getting to sleep, but sleep should be blissful, silent and deep enough for a dream state to be invoked. In our search for this type of sleep we often sabotage our efforts without realizing it.

The most frequent reasons the dream state is not reached are 1) tranquilizers, 2) sleeping pills, and 3) alcohol.

Consider the fact that our bodies are already equipped with all the appropriate chemicals and in the proper dosages for each person to function as they should in this (and all areas of life), why mess with that? Let us look at some lifestyle changes that we can cultivate in order to access our natural ability to sleep.

Seed one) Have a light supper 2 to 3 hours before you go to bed. Have a set bedtime and stick to it. Give yourself at LEAST 30 min. quiet time before bed. Stop doing whatever you were doing and turn off everything noisy. Lower the lights, if you wear glasses, take them off and let go of your day and sink into the quiet. Let the thoughts that bedevil you stay just long enough for you to say "listening" 3 times (a Buddhist thingy) after you speak, let go of the thought. If it is a "to do thing", write it down on paper so your mind can let it go.

Next, start with either your head or feet (different for different folks-try both to see where you land) and tense up all the muscles in whatever area your working with, let them relax and move to the next group. For instance, feet; tense, relax move. Calves: tense, relax, move. Thighs and so on working your way up your body (or down as your case may be), you get the picture. When you get to your head, do your face, jaws, scalp, anything you can to stretch the muscles and relax them. Feel the difference in your tension level, it will be lower and relaxation will be in your reach. You can do this as many times as you wish.

Seed two) This one I learned from a friend of mine, Geo Clark and he calls it pyramid breathing; focus all attention on your breathing, inhale, hold 1, exhale. Inhale, hold 2, and exhale. And so on, do this all the way to 10 then come back down to 1. Somewhere in there you will fall asleep. Let me know how you manage. Another breathing technique is to inhale deeply through the nose and then exhale, through the nose in little puffs like blowing out a candle. Do this about 20 reps as a relaxation aid.

Seed three) Again quiet the room and lower the lights. If you have quiet relaxing music or guided meditation on CD you may wish to use them to help you become quiet. An aroma therapy candle (burned in a safe dish) or an essential oil or herbal relaxation aromas such as saffron or lavender can aid in easing you into a more relaxed state. Warm some milk with a touch of saffron or nutmeg, poppy seed or, if you prefer 1 Tablespoon gotacola in 1 cup water for tea.

Seed four) understand that different people require different amounts of sleep so find out what is best for you and make it part of your healthy, daily lifestyle. Mix and match the different ideas and techniques to find out your best formula and know that sometimes it will change. Don’t stress over it, just let it happen as you practice the suggestions I have laid out here (and there are others out there just a little research will bring them to light) and you will find that your sleep garden will grow better results in your waking life and your efforts will bloom brightly.

Bright Blessings, Chessie

                                            My Path

                                   by Josey Drither West

                                   Used by permission

Think not,
To follow my path,
In my footsteps,
you may walk,
but know now,
that the path ahead of me,
is not the path I leave behind.

My foot prints,
leave their marks,
My energy continues to ripple,
upon the surroundings,
Our presence,
changes all it touches

the path we walk,
changes as it changes us,
no matter how close you follow,
the place you step,
is not where I stood.

you watch me walk on,
and in watching me,
you change your own path,
and you change mine.

I found this to be a very deep and truthful statement that is not something we regularly consider; the fact is that by walking a path, as it changes us, we change it. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not but change is inevitable. Still, following someone walking a path that you feel is worthy of you is a good thing; just realize that as you walk it, you make it your own. So, as you grow, evolve and rise, realize that you affect that which affects you.

Thank You Mr. West and Bright Blessings to all.
